Setup Guide

1. Unpacking the Monitor

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:

  • Lenovo D24-40 Monitor
  • Monitor Stand (Base and Neck)
  • Power Cord
  • HDMI Cable
  • User Manual (this document)

2. Assembling the Stand

  1. Attach the stand neck to the monitor panel. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  2. Attach the stand base to the stand neck. Tighten the captive screw at the bottom of the base to secure it.

3. Connecting the Monitor

Connect the monitor to your computer and power source using the provided cables.

  • Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the monitor's power input and then to a wall outlet.
  • Video Connection:
    • For HDMI: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the monitor's HDMI port and the other end to your computer's HDMI output.
    • For VGA: Connect one end of the VGA cable to the monitor's VGA port and the other end to your computer's VGA output.
  • Audio Connection (Optional): If using external speakers or headphones, connect them to the 3.5mm audio output port on the monitor.

4. Initial Power On

Press the power button on the monitor. The monitor should automatically detect the input signal. If not, you may need to manually select the input source using the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.

The OSD menu allows you to adjust various monitor settings. Use the buttons located on the bottom right of the monitor to navigate the menu.

  • Brightness/Contrast: Adjust the overall brightness and contrast of the display.
  • Color Settings: Modify color temperature, gamma, and individual RGB levels.
  • Input Select: Manually switch between HDMI and VGA input sources.
  • Picture Mode: Select from preset picture modes (e.g., Standard, Game, Movie, Text).
  • Audio: Adjust volume for the audio output.
  • Information: View current resolution, refresh rate, and model information.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Monitor

  • Always power off the monitor and unplug the power cord before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a non-abrasive screen cleaner.
  • Do not spray cleaner directly onto the screen.
  • Avoid using benzene, thinner, ammonia-based cleaners, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the display surface.
  • Wipe the screen gently to remove dust and smudges.
