The GreenLife Digital Rice & Beans Cooker is designed to simplify the preparation of various grains, including white rice, brown rice, beans, and steel cut oats. It features a healthy ceramic nonstick interior and intuitive one-touch presets for consistent results.
2. Important Safeguards
- Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance body in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

4. Setup
Before First Use:
- Remove all packaging materials and promotional labels.
- Wash the removable nonstick ceramic pot, measuring cup, and spatula with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the cooker body with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the cooker body in water.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly and use.
5. Operating Instructions
General Operation:
- Place the cooker on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Measure the desired amount of grains using the provided measuring cup. Note: The measuring cup is not a standard cup measurement. Refer to the cooking guide for specific ratios.
- Rinse grains thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Add the rinsed grains to the removable nonstick ceramic pot.
- Add the appropriate amount of water to the pot, following the water level markings inside the pot or the cooking guide.
- Place the pot into the cooker body and close the lid securely.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The digital display will illuminate.
Using Preset Functions:
- Press the Menu button repeatedly to cycle through the available preset functions: White Rice, Brown Rice, Beans, Steel Cut Oats. The indicator light next to the selected function will illuminate.
- The digital display will show the default cooking time for the selected preset.
- Press the Start button to begin cooking. The cooker will automatically adjust cooking based on Fuzzy Logic Technology.
Using the Delay Timer:
- Select your desired cooking preset using the Menu button.
- Press the Delay Timer button. The display will show a default delay time.
- Use the +/- buttons to adjust the delay time in hours. The delay timer can be set for up to 24 hours.
- Press the Start button. The cooker will begin the countdown for the delay time, and then automatically start the cooking program once the delay time has elapsed.
Keep Warm Function:
- After a cooking cycle is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to the Keep Warm function. The Keep Warm indicator light will illuminate.
- To manually activate the Keep Warm function, press the Keep Warm/Stop button.
- To stop the Keep Warm function or any active program, press the Keep Warm/Stop button.

Note: The maximum capacity for uncooked white rice is 2 measuring cups, yielding approximately 4 cups of cooked rice. For brown rice, the maximum is 1.5 measuring cups.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your cooker.
Cleaning the Removable Pot and Accessories:
- The nonstick ceramic pot, measuring cup, and spatula are dishwasher safe.
- Alternatively, wash them with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads to protect the nonstick coating.

Cleaning the Cooker Body and Lid:
- Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the cooker body with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the cooker body in water.
- The inner lid is removable for thorough cleaning. Gently detach it and wash with warm, soapy water. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching.
- Ensure all parts are dry before storing.
8. Troubleshooting
- Rice is too hard/dry: Add slightly more water in the next cooking cycle. Ensure the lid is properly sealed during cooking.
- Rice is too soft/mushy: Reduce water slightly in the next cooking cycle. Ensure grains are rinsed properly.
- Cooker does not turn on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the cooker and the wall outlet. Ensure the outlet is functional.
- Water/steam leaks from lid: Ensure the lid is properly closed and sealed. Check if the inner lid is correctly attached. Avoid overfilling the pot beyond the maximum capacity.
- Food sticks to the pot: Ensure the nonstick coating is not damaged. Use only the provided plastic spatula or other non-abrasive utensils.
