3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight counter-clockwise.
- Insert the included Lithium-Ion battery with the positive (+) terminal facing towards the flashlight head.
- Screw the tail cap back on clockwise until it is securely tightened. Ensure the O-ring is properly seated to maintain water resistance.
3.2 Initial Charging
It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use to ensure optimal performance and battery longevity.
- Locate the USB Type-C charging port on the flashlight body, usually covered by a rubber flap.
- Gently lift the rubber cover to expose the port.
- Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the flashlight and plug the other end into a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, power bank).
- The battery level indicator will show the charging status. Refer to the 'Charging' section for details on indicator behavior.
- Once charging is complete, disconnect the cable and firmly press the rubber cover back into place to seal the port, maintaining its waterproof integrity.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- To Turn On: Press and hold the side switch for approximately 0.5 seconds.
- To Turn Off: Press and hold the side switch for approximately 0.5 seconds when the flashlight is on.
4.2 Mode Switching (Brightness Levels)
- When the flashlight is on, single-click the side switch to cycle through the brightness levels: Ultra-Low → Low → Mid → High.
- The flashlight will memorize the last used brightness level (except for Strobe) and turn on at that level next time.
4.3 Turbo Mode
- From any mode (including off), double-click the side switch to activate Turbo mode (maximum output).
- Double-click again to return to the previous brightness level.
4.4 Strobe Mode
- From any mode (including off), triple-click the side switch to activate Strobe mode.
- Single-click to exit Strobe mode and return to the previous brightness level.
4.5 Lock/Unlock Function
- To Lock: When the flashlight is off, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds. The flashlight will flash twice to indicate it is locked.
- To Unlock: When the flashlight is locked, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds. The flashlight will flash twice and then turn on at the Ultra-Low mode.
- The lock function prevents accidental activation during transport or storage.
4.6 Battery Level Indicator
The indicator light on the side switch displays the battery status:
- Green Light: Battery voltage is above 3.1V (sufficient power).
- Red Light: Battery voltage is between 2.9V and 3.1V (low power, recharge soon).
- Flashing Red Light: Battery voltage is below 2.9V (critical power, recharge immediately).
5. Charging
The ACEBEAM E75 features a built-in USB Type-C charging port for convenient recharging of the included Lithium-Ion battery.
- Ensure the flashlight is turned off before charging.
- Open the rubber cover protecting the USB Type-C port.
- Connect the USB Type-C cable to the flashlight and a suitable USB power source.
- During charging, the indicator light on the side switch will glow red.
- Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will turn green.
- After charging, disconnect the cable and firmly close the rubber cover to maintain the flashlight's waterproof rating.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Clean the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Keep the lens clean to ensure maximum light output. Use a lens cleaning cloth if necessary.
- Periodically clean the threads of the tail cap and apply a thin layer of silicone grease to maintain smooth operation and water resistance.
6.2 O-Ring Replacement
- Inspect the O-rings regularly for wear or damage.
- Replace worn O-rings with the provided spares to maintain the IP68 waterproof rating.
- Apply a thin layer of silicone grease to new O-rings before installation.
6.3 Battery Care
- Store the flashlight with a partially charged battery if not used for extended periods.
- Recharge the battery every 3-6 months to prevent over-discharge and prolong battery life.
- If the flashlight will not be used for a long time, remove the battery to prevent potential leakage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Flashlight does not turn on:
- Check if the battery is inserted correctly with the positive (+) terminal facing the head.
- Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened.
- Charge the battery. The battery might be depleted.
- Check if the flashlight is in lock mode. Unlock it by pressing and holding the side switch for 3 seconds.
- Light output is dim or flickers:
- The battery may be low. Recharge the battery.
- Clean the battery contacts and flashlight contacts with a clean cloth.
- Water ingress:
- Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened.
- Check the O-rings for damage or improper seating. Replace if necessary.
