- Pull the crown (the knob on the right side of the watch) out to the second click position.
- Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
- Push the crown back into its normal position to start the watch.
2.2. Setting the Date
- Pull the crown out to the first click position.
- Rotate the crown to set the date. Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.

2.3. Adjusting the Band
For metal link bands, adjustment typically requires removing or adding links. It is recommended to have this done by a professional watchmaker to prevent damage. For leather bands, adjust the buckle to fit your wrist comfortably.
3. Operating the Watch

3.1. Time Display
The main hands indicate the current hour and minute. The watch features a luminous coating on the hands and markers for visibility in low-light conditions. Exposure to light charges the luminous material.

3.2. Chronograph Function
The chronograph allows for precise timing of events. It utilizes three subdials:
- 60-Minute Subdial: Located on the left, this subdial tracks minutes during chronograph operation.
- 60-Second Subdial: Located below, this subdial tracks seconds during chronograph operation.
- 24-Hour Subdial: Located on the right, this subdial displays the time in a 24-hour format and also incorporates the moon phase indicator.
To operate the chronograph:
- Press the Start/Off button (top pusher) to start the chronograph. The 60-second subdial hand will begin to move.
- Press the Start/Off button again to stop the chronograph. Read the elapsed time from the 60-minute and 60-second subdials.
- Press the Timer reset button (bottom pusher) to reset the chronograph hands to zero.
3.3. Moon Phase Display
The 24-hour subdial also features a moon phase indicator, which visually represents the current phase of the moon. This indicator advances automatically with the 24-hour cycle.
4. Maintenance
4.1. Water Resistance
Your SKMEI watch is rated for 3ATM (98 feet) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, such as hand washing, rain, or accidental splashes. It is not suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, diving, or any activities involving hot water or steam, as water vapor can penetrate the watch lens and cause damage.

4.2. Cleaning
Wipe the watch case and band regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For metal bands, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using chemical cleaners or abrasive materials.
4.3. Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a quartz movement and requires a battery. When the watch stops or its functions become erratic, the battery may need replacement. It is highly recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
4.4. Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. Keeping it in its original packaging or a watch box can help protect it from dust and scratches.
