5.2. Battery Care
Each pager contains a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. To maximize battery life:
- Always return pagers to the charging base when not in use.
- Avoid completely draining the battery frequently.
- If pagers are stored for extended periods, charge them periodically to prevent deep discharge.
6. Troubleshooting
- Pagers not responding:
- Ensure the pager is fully charged.
- Verify the pager is within the operating range of the transmitter (up to 550 yards in open areas).
- Check if the pager is correctly paired with the transmitter (refer to Section 3.2).
- Confirm the correct pager number is entered on the transmitter.
- Short operating range:
- Ensure the transmitter's external antenna is securely attached and positioned vertically.
- Minimize obstructions (walls, large metal objects) between the transmitter and pagers.
- Avoid placing the transmitter near other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Pagers not turning on:
- Place the pager on the charging base for at least 30 minutes. If it still doesn't turn on, the battery may be completely depleted or faulty.
