5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation

- To Power On: Press the ON/OFF/TARE button. The display will show '0.0g' when ready.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the ON/OFF/TARE button for a few seconds. The scale also features an automatic shut-off function to conserve battery power after a period of inactivity.
6.2 Unit Selection
Press the UNIT button repeatedly to cycle through available measurement units: grams (g), ounces (oz), milliliters (ml), and cups (cup).
6.3 Tare Function
The tare function allows you to weigh multiple ingredients consecutively without emptying the spoon, or to subtract the weight of a container.
- Place the first ingredient or empty container into the spoon.
- Wait for the display to stabilize.
- Press the ON/OFF/TARE button. The display will reset to '0.0g'.
- Add the next ingredient. The display will show the weight of the newly added item.
- Repeat as needed.
6.4 Hold Function
If the display is difficult to read while holding the spoon, use the hold function to lock the measurement.
- Weigh your ingredient.
- Once the weight is stable, press the HOLD button. The displayed weight will be locked, indicated by a 'HOLD' icon or similar.
- Press the HOLD button again to release the measurement.
