  1. Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet. The indicator light will illuminate.
  2. The iron will heat up rapidly, becoming ready for use in approximately 25 seconds. The indicator light will change or stop blinking when ready.

2. Selecting Steam Mode

The Solac Niagara Pro offers two continuous steam modes: Eco and Max. Press the steam button to cycle between these modes, selecting the one suitable for your garment's needs.

3. Steaming Garments

Hold the steam iron vertically, keeping the soleplate a few centimeters away from the fabric. Press the steam trigger to release steam. Move the iron slowly over the garment, from top to bottom, to remove wrinkles. For best results, gently pull the fabric taut with your free hand.

4. Auto-Off Safety Feature

For your safety, the appliance is equipped with an automatic shut-off system. If left inactive for a certain period, the iron will automatically turn off. The indicator light will signal this status.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Appliance

  1. Always unplug the steam iron and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. Clean the ceramic soleplate with a damp cloth. Do not use metallic or abrasive pads.
  5. Clean the accessories (lint brush, delicate fabric pad) as needed with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry.

2. Descaling

To maintain optimal performance and extend the life of your steam iron, regular descaling is recommended, especially if using tap water (though distilled water is preferred). Refer to the manufacturer's descaling solution instructions or use a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio). Run the solution through the steamer following the operating instructions, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

3. Storage

Store the cooled and emptied steam iron in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the power cord is neatly wrapped and not kinked.
