2. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to set up your COWSAR Nugget Ice Maker for first-time use.
Unpacking:
- Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging.
- Remove all packing materials, tapes, and protective films.
- Inspect the unit for any damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
Placement:
- Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Leave at least 5 inches of space on all sides.
- Do not block the ventilation openings.
Initial Cleaning:
Before first use, it is recommended to clean the unit.
- Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Run the self-cleaning function (refer to Section 4: Maintenance) with clean water before making ice for consumption.

- Open the lid of the ice maker.
- Remove the ice basket.
- Fill the water reservoir with clean, potable water up to the MAX fill line. The capacity is approximately 1.1 liters (0.3 gallons).
- Replace the ice basket and close the lid.
3. Operating Instructions
Your COWSAR Nugget Ice Maker is designed for simple, one-button operation.
Control Panel:

- Ice Full Indicator: Illuminates when the ice basket is full, and the machine will pause ice production.
- Add Water Indicator: Illuminates when the water reservoir is low, and the machine will pause ice production.
- Ice/Clean Button: Press once to start/stop ice making. Press and hold for 5 seconds to activate the self-cleaning function.
Making Ice:
- Ensure the unit is plugged into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Confirm the water reservoir is filled (refer to Section 2: Setup and Installation).
- Press the Ice/Clean button once. The ice making process will begin.
- The first batch of nugget ice will be ready in approximately 7 minutes.
- The machine will continue to produce ice until the ice basket is full or the water level is low.
- When the 'Ice Full' indicator lights up, remove ice from the basket. The machine will resume ice production automatically once space is available.
- When the 'Add Water' indicator lights up, refill the water reservoir. The machine will resume ice production automatically once water is added.

The clear lid and transparent ice bin allow you to visually check the ice-making process and the amount of ice stored without opening the unit.
4. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your ice maker.
Self-Cleaning Function:

- Ensure the water reservoir is filled with clean water.
- Press and hold the Ice/Clean button for 5 seconds to initiate the automatic cleaning cycle.
- The cleaning cycle takes approximately 15 minutes.
- After the cycle, drain the water from the unit (refer to Draining Water below).
Descaling (for abnormal noise or mineral buildup):
If you notice abnormal noise during ice making or suspect mineral buildup, a descaling process is recommended.
- Add approximately 20 ounces of white vinegar or a dedicated descaling cleaner to the water tank.
- Start the self-cleaning function by pressing and holding the Ice/Clean button for 5 seconds.
- After the cleaning cycle, drain the solution completely.
- Rinse the reservoir thoroughly with clean water and run the self-cleaning function with clean water 2-3 times to remove any residual descaling agent.
Draining Water:
To drain water from the unit, locate the drain plug at the bottom or side of the unit (consult the physical product for exact location). Place a container under the drain plug, remove the plug, and allow all water to drain. Replace the plug securely.
Exterior Cleaning:
Wipe the exterior of the ice maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
5. Troubleshooting
