3. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the microscope and all accessories from the packaging. Place the microscope on a stable, flat surface.

  2. Install Eyepiece: Insert the desired eyepiece (WF10x or WF25x) into the monocular head.

  3. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the microscope's power input port and plug it into a wall outlet. Alternatively, for portable use, ensure 3x AAA batteries (not included) are installed in the battery compartment at the base.

4. Operating the Microscope

  1. Turn on Illumination: Flip the power switch to turn on the LED lights. Adjust the brightness using the dimmer knob. Choose between top, bottom, or dual illumination based on your specimen type.

  2. Select Objective Lens: Rotate the revolving nosepiece to select the lowest magnification objective lens (4x) first. This provides the widest field of view for initial specimen location.
  3. Focusing:
    • Use the coarse focus knob to bring the specimen into approximate focus.
    • Use the fine focus knob for sharp and detailed focusing.
  4. Adjust Magnification: Once the specimen is in focus at low power, rotate the nosepiece to a higher magnification objective (10x, 40x). Re-adjust focus using the fine focus knob.

  5. Using the Filter Wheel: Rotate the filter wheel located beneath the stage to select a colored filter. This can enhance contrast and visibility for transparent specimens.
  6. Smartphone Integration: Attach the phone adapter to the eyepiece. Secure your smartphone in the adapter. Open your phone's camera app and align it with the eyepiece to view, capture photos, or record videos of the magnified image.
