Safety Instructions
Do not shine the light directly into eyes.

Ensure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity.
Use only recommended batteries.
Avoid exposing the flashlight to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
The flashlight may become hot during prolonged use at high brightness levels.

Product Overview
The Sofirn SC28 is a powerful and compact LED flashlight designed for various applications, from daily carry to tactical use. It features a high-performance LED, USB-C charging, and multiple lighting modes.

Setup
1. Battery Installation
The Sofirn SC28 uses one 18650 Lithium-ion battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
Insert the battery with the positive (+) terminal facing towards the head of the flashlight.
Screw the tail cap back on tightly to ensure proper contact and water resistance.
2. Charging
The SC28 features a convenient USB-C charging port. The battery indicator light provides charging status.
Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the flashlight head. It is protected by a rubber cover.
Gently lift the rubber cover.
Connect the provided USB-C cable to the flashlight and a power source (e.g., USB wall adapter, power bank, computer).
The indicator light will show the charging status:
Red (fixed): Charging (Battery 25% - 50%)
Red (flashing): Low power (Battery 0% - 25%)
Green (fixed): Fully charged (Battery 50% - 100%)
Once charging is complete, disconnect the cable and firmly press the rubber cover back into place to maintain water resistance.

Operating Instructions
The Sofirn SC28 features a tactical tail switch for operation and mode selection.
1. Power On/Off
To turn ON: Single click the tail switch.
To turn OFF: Single click the tail switch when the light is on.
Momentary ON: From OFF, tap and hold the tail switch for momentary illumination. Release to turn off.
2. Mode Switching (Daily Mode vs. Tactical Mode)
The SC28 offers two main mode groups: a Default Group (Daily Mode) and a Tactical Group. You can switch between these groups.

3. Brightness Adjustment
From OFF: Single click to turn on. The flashlight will remember the last used brightness level (except Moonlight, Turbo, and Strobe).
From ON: Fast double-click the tail switch to cycle through brightness levels within the current mode group.

4. Strobe Mode
Strobe mode is primarily available in the Tactical Group for emergency or signaling purposes.
To activate Strobe: From the Tactical Group, cycle through modes until Strobe is reached.
In the Tactical Group, only Medium, High, and Strobe modes are available.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Clean the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Periodically clean the threads and O-rings with a clean cloth and apply silicone grease to maintain water resistance.
2. Storage
Remove the battery if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place.
3. Water Resistance
The Sofirn SC28 is rated IPX8 waterproof, meaning it can be submerged up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. However, it is not designed for diving. Ensure all caps and covers are securely closed before exposure to water.

Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible Cause

Flashlight does not turn on.
Battery is dead or incorrectly inserted. Loose tail cap.
Charge the battery. Ensure battery polarity is correct. Tighten the tail cap.
Light flickers or turns off unexpectedly.
Low battery. Loose connections. Dirty contacts.
Recharge or replace the battery. Ensure tail cap and head are tightened. Clean battery contacts and threads.
Flashlight gets hot quickly.
Prolonged use on Turbo/High mode.
The SC28 has Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) which automatically lowers brightness to prevent overheating. This is normal. Reduce brightness if discomfort occurs.
Water ingress.
Loose O-rings or damaged seals. USB-C cover not sealed.
Ensure O-rings are clean and lubricated. Check for damage to O-rings and replace if necessary. Ensure USB-C cover is fully closed.
