Setup and Installation
The KOORUI KR20Y monitor arm offers two installation options: C-Clamp Mount and Grommet Mount. Choose the method best suited for your desk.

Image: Diagram illustrating the two available installation methods: C-Clamp Mount and Grommet Mount.
1. C-Clamp Mount
This method is suitable for desks with a thickness between 20-80mm (0.78-3.14 inches).
- Attach the C-clamp base to the edge of your desk.
- Tighten the clamp screw until the base is securely fastened to the desk. Ensure it is stable and does not wobble.
- Insert the main pole of the monitor arm into the C-clamp base.
- Secure the pole with the provided screw or knob.
2. Grommet Mount
This method requires a pre-drilled hole in your desk with a diameter of 10-50mm (0.39-1.96 inches) and is suitable for desks with a thickness between 20-90mm (0.78-3.54 inches).
- Disassemble the C-clamp components from the base if they are pre-attached.
- Insert the grommet bolt through the pre-drilled hole in your desk.
- Secure the grommet base from underneath the desk using the provided washer and nut. Tighten firmly.
- Insert the main pole of the monitor arm into the grommet base.
- Secure the pole with the provided screw or knob.
3. Attaching the Monitor
- Attach the VESA plate to the back of your monitor using the appropriate screws. Ensure the screws are not overtightened.
- Slide the monitor (with the attached VESA plate) onto the arm's VESA head.
- Secure the monitor to the arm using the locking mechanism (if present) or by tightening the designated screws.
4. Cable Management
Route your monitor cables through the integrated cable management channels on the arm to maintain a tidy workspace.

Operating Instructions
The KOORUI KR20Y monitor arm features a gas spring system for smooth and effortless adjustments. Adjustments can be made to achieve an ergonomic viewing experience.

Image: Detailed diagram showing the full range of motion of the monitor arm, including tilt, swivel, rotation, and maximum extension/height.
1. Height Adjustment
Gently push or pull the monitor up or down to adjust its height. The gas spring will hold the monitor in your desired position. If the arm is too stiff or too loose, adjust the gas spring tension (see Maintenance section).
2. Tilt Adjustment
Grasp the top and bottom edges of your monitor and tilt it forward or backward to achieve an optimal viewing angle. The tilt range is +85° to -30°.
3. Swivel Adjustment
Rotate the monitor left or right at the VESA plate connection point. The swivel range is ±90°.
4. Rotation (Portrait/Landscape)
Rotate the monitor 360° to switch between landscape and portrait orientations as needed.

Maintenance
- Gas Spring Tension Adjustment: If the monitor arm does not hold its position or is difficult to move, use the provided hex key to adjust the gas spring tension. Turn clockwise to increase tension (for heavier monitors) and counter-clockwise to decrease tension (for lighter monitors). Adjust gradually until the arm moves smoothly and holds the monitor securely.
- Cleaning: Wipe the monitor arm with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodic Inspection: Regularly check all screws and connections to ensure they are tight and secure.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Monitor arm does not hold position. | Gas spring tension is too low for the monitor's weight. | Increase gas spring tension using the hex key (clockwise). |
| Monitor arm is too stiff to move. | Gas spring tension is too high for the monitor's weight. | Decrease gas spring tension using the hex key (counter-clockwise). |
| Monitor wobbles or feels unstable. | Mounting screws or clamp are loose. | Ensure all mounting screws (VESA plate, clamp/grommet) are securely tightened. Check desk stability. |
| Cables are getting pinched. | Cables not routed correctly. | Re-route cables through the designated cable management channels, ensuring sufficient slack for movement. |
