The birdsnap H53 is a smart hummingbird feeder equipped with a 2K camera for live streaming and recording. It features a 32GB memory card for local storage, an integrated ant moat, and AI bird identification capabilities. Setup

1. Charging the Camera

The camera unit houses a 5200mAh rechargeable battery. Before initial use, fully charge the camera using the provided Type-C cable. The camera is removable from the feeder for convenient charging.

2. App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

Download the birdsnap application from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your camera to your home's 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network. Note that the feeder is not compatible with 5Ghz networks.

3. Mounting Options

The birdsnap H53 offers versatile mounting options to suit your yard. It can be mounted on a wall, stand, tree, or fence using the included mounting kit. Choose a location that provides a clear view for the camera and is easily accessible for refilling and cleaning.

4. Filling the Feeder with Nectar

To fill the feeder, carefully detach the base. Pour hummingbird nectar into the reservoir. Ensure the base is securely reattached before flipping the feeder upright. Insert the camera unit back into its housing.

Important Note:

After pouring nectar, turn the feeder over in the direction of the flowers on top to avoid leakage from the feeding ports.

5. Ant Moat Setup

The feeder includes an ant moat designed to prevent ants from reaching the nectar. Fill the ant moat with water. This creates a barrier that ants cannot cross.

Operation

1. Live Stream and Notifications

Once connected, the 2K camera provides a vivid and clear live stream of your feeder. The birdsnap app will notify you when a bird is detected, allowing you to watch birds up close anytime, anywhere.

2. AI Identification

The birdsnap H53 features AI identification capable of recognizing over 10,000 bird species. A 30-day free trial is available for this feature, with subscription required for continued use and extended video recording times.

3. Storage

The feeder comes with a 32GB memory card for local video storage. Additionally, 0.5GB of lifetime free cloud storage is provided, offering a 3-day loop recording. Cloud subscription plans are available for increased storage and features.

4. Sharing

You can share access to your bird camera with up to three other phones, allowing family and friends to enjoy bird watching simultaneously.

Maintenance
