5. Setup and Installation

These LED flat panel lights are designed for easy installation in standard drop ceilings. Always ensure power is disconnected before beginning installation.

  1. Prepare the Area: Turn off power at the circuit breaker. Ensure the ceiling grid opening is clear and matches the 2x2 ft fixture size.
  2. Access Selector Switches: Before placing the panel into the ceiling grid, locate the CCT (Color Temperature) and Wattage selector switches on the back of the fixture. Adjust them to your desired settings (refer to Section 6 for details).
  3. Wiring: Connect the fixture's wiring to the building's electrical supply. Ensure proper grounding and secure all connections with appropriate connectors. Follow local electrical codes.
  4. Place the Fixture: Carefully lift the LED panel and guide it through the ceiling grid opening. Once through, allow it to rest on the T-bar grid. The slim and lightweight design facilitates this process.
  5. Secure the Fixture: Use the included protective brackets to secure the panel to the ceiling grid, preventing accidental displacement.
  6. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

Your Sunco LED Flat Panel Lights offer customizable lighting options through integrated selector switches.

6.1. Selectable Color Temperature (CCT)

The fixture allows you to choose from three distinct color temperatures:

  • 4000K (Cool White): A neutral white light, ideal for offices, kitchens, and task lighting.
  • 5000K (Daylight): A bright, crisp white light, suitable for areas requiring high visibility like workshops or retail spaces.
  • 6000K (Daylight Deluxe): A very cool, bluish-white light, often used in commercial or industrial settings for maximum brightness.

To change the CCT, locate the slider switch labeled '6000K/5000K/4000K' on the back of the panel and slide it to your desired setting. This adjustment should be made before final installation into the ceiling grid.

6.2. Selectable Brightness (Wattage)

You can also adjust the light output by selecting one of three wattage options:

  • 30W: Provides approximately 4200 lumens.
  • 35W: Provides approximately 4700 lumens.
  • 40W: Provides approximately 5200 lumens.

To change the brightness, locate the slider switch labeled '30W-35W-40W' on the back of the panel and slide it to your desired setting. This adjustment should also be made before final installation.
