Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Nuwave 8-Qt Brio Air Fryer. This appliance is designed to provide a healthy and efficient way to cook a variety of foods using super-heated air. Please read this manual thoroughly before initial use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

Important Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.

  • Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to your local mains voltage before connecting.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not place the appliance against a wall or against other appliances. Leave at least 10 cm (4 inches) free space on the back and sides and 10 cm (4 inches) free space above the appliance.
  • When the air fry basket is pulled out (opened), cooking is paused automatically for safety. Once the basket is pushed back in (closed), the cooking resumes automatically.

Setup

Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Remove any stickers or labels from the appliance.

Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean all parts that will come into contact with food.

  • Wash the air fry basket, circulation riser, and reversible cooking rack with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. These parts are also dishwasher safe.
  • Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
  • Ensure all parts are completely dry before use.

Placement

  • Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, and heat-resistant surface.
  • Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance (at least 10 cm / 4 inches on all sides).
  • Do not place the appliance near flammable materials.

Operating Instructions

Basic Air Frying

  1. Place the circulation riser or reversible rack into the air fry basket.
  2. Place your food onto the rack or riser.
  3. Slide the air fry basket back into the main unit until it clicks into place.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button to power on the unit.
  5. Adjust the temperature using the temperature control buttons (50°F to 400°F in 5°F increments).
  6. Adjust the cooking time using the time control buttons.
  7. Press START/PAUSE to begin cooking.
  8. To adjust temperature or time during cooking, simply use the respective control buttons. The unit will adjust on-the-fly.

Pre-programmed Settings and Wattage

  • The Brio has 100 pre-programmed recipes and 50 memory slots for custom recipes. Refer to the included recipe book or the Cooking Club app for details.
  • The unit offers 3 wattage settings: 700W, 1500W, and 1800W. This allows for versatile use in various power environments, such as dorms or RVs.
  • Use the Preheat function to heat the cooking chamber to the desired temperature before adding food.
  • The Reheat function warms food at 360°F for 4 minutes to crisp up leftovers.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air fryer.

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. The air fry basket, circulation riser, and reversible cooking rack are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Clean the interior of the appliance with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Ensure no water enters the heating element area.
  5. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before reassembling or storing.

Storage

Store the appliance in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure all components are clean and dry before storage.

Troubleshooting
