5. Setup and Charging

Before first use, or if the device has been stored for an extended period, fully charge your Powrun P-ONE MAX Jump Starter.

5.1 Initial Charging

Connect the provided USB-A to C cable to the jump starter's Type-C input/output port.
Plug the other end of the cable into the provided 5V/3A wall charger.
Plug the wall charger into a standard electrical outlet.
The display screen will indicate charging status. Charge until the display shows 100%.

A full charge using the provided 5V/3A wall charger takes approximately 6.5 hours. If using a PD30W charger (not included), charging time can be reduced to about 3.5 hours.

6. Operating Instructions: Jump Starting a Vehicle

Follow these steps carefully to safely jump-start your vehicle:

Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and all accessories (lights, radio, AC) are turned off. Engage the parking brake.
Connect Jumper Cables to Jump Starter: Insert the blue end of the smart jumper cable into the 12V Smart Jumper Socket on the Powrun P-ONE MAX unit. Ensure a secure connection.
Connect Clamps to Battery:
- Connect the red positive (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Connect the black negative (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
The smart jumper cable will perform a self-check. Observe the indicator light on the smart cable:
- If the green light is solid: The connection is correct and safe. Proceed to step 4.
- If the green light is flashing: The battery voltage is extremely low (below 9V). Press the 'BOOST' button on the smart cable for 3 seconds until the green light becomes solid. You have 30 seconds to start the vehicle.
- If the red light is on: There is a connection error (e.g., reverse polarity). Disconnect the clamps and reconnect them correctly.
Start the Engine: Once the green light is solid, start your vehicle's engine. If it doesn't start immediately, wait 30 seconds and try again. Do not crank for more than 3 seconds per attempt.
Disconnect Clamps: Once the vehicle starts, disconnect the black negative (-) clamp first, then the red positive (+) clamp from the vehicle battery. Finally, disconnect the smart jumper cable from the jump starter unit.
