4. Setup Guide
4.1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

4.2. Connecting to Your Computer
The BMG-22M is a plug-and-play device, requiring no special drivers for most operating systems (Mac OS, Windows XP or later). Connect the USB cable from the interface to an available USB port on your computer.

4.3. Connecting Audio Devices
Connect your microphones, instruments, and monitoring equipment to the appropriate ports on the interface.

- Microphones/Instruments: Use XLR cables for microphones or 1/4-inch cables for instruments/line-level devices into the combo input jacks (1 and 2).
- Phantom Power: If using a condenser microphone, press the 48V button to supply phantom power. An indicator light will illuminate.
- Headphones: Plug your headphones into the 1/4-inch headphone jack.
- Monitor Speakers: Connect your active monitor speakers to the RCA Line Output jacks (Right and Left).

5.1. Adjusting Input Levels
Use the individual decibel faders for Channel 1 and Channel 2 to set appropriate input levels. Aim for levels that are strong but do not clip (distort). The LED indicators next to the faders will help you monitor your signal strength.

5.2. Monitoring Your Audio
The BMG-22M offers direct monitoring, allowing you to hear your input signal without any latency from your computer's software. This is crucial for real-time recording.

- Direct Monitor: Press the "Direct Monitor" button to enable zero-latency monitoring. This sends the input signal directly to your headphones and main outputs.
- Monitoring Knob: Adjust the large "MONITOR" knob to control the overall output volume to your speakers and headphones.
- Headphone Knob: Use the "PHONES" knob to adjust the volume specifically for your headphones.
5.3. Software Compatibility
The BMG-22M is compatible with most major Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and recording software. Once connected, select the "BOMGE BMG-22M" as your audio input and output device within your software's audio settings.
