1. Introduction

The Retekess TR112 is a versatile multiband radio receiver designed for a wide range of listening experiences. It features reception across FM, VHF, AM, Shortwave (SW), Weather Band (WB), and Aviation (AIR) frequencies. Equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, APP control, TF card playback, and an integrated SOS alarm function, the TR112 offers advanced features in a compact design. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.

3. Product Overview

The Retekess TR112 radio features a robust design with intuitive controls and a clear display. Familiarize yourself with the various components:

• Front Panel: LCD display, speaker, manual tuning dial, control buttons (Band, Vol+/-, Tune+/-, Memo, EQ, Power, Sleep, etc.).
• Top: Telescopic antenna, SOS button.
• Side: Type-C charging port, headphone jack, TF card slot.
• Rear: Bass boost port.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

The TR112 is equipped with a built-in 1600mAh Lithium-Ion battery. Before first use, or when the battery indicator on the display shows low power, charge the device using the provided USB Type-C cable.

1. Connect the Type-C end of the cable to the charging port on the side of the radio.
2. Connect the USB-A end to a compatible USB power adapter (e.g., 5V/1A) or a computer USB port.
3. The charging indicator on the display will show charging status. A full charge typically takes 3-4 hours and provides 8-10 hours of working time.

4.2 Antenna Extension

For optimal reception, especially for FM, VHF, SW, and AIR bands, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the top of the radio. For AM reception, the internal ferrite bar antenna is used, and antenna extension is not necessary.

5. Operation

5.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the POWER button to turn the radio on or off.

5.2 Band Selection

The TR112 supports multiple frequency bands. Press the BAND button repeatedly to cycle through the available bands: FM, VHF, AM, SW, WB, and AIR.

5.3 Tuning Methods

The TR112 offers several methods for tuning into stations:

• Manual Tuning: Use the large manual tuning dial on the front panel or the TUNE+/- buttons to fine-tune frequencies.
• Automatic Search: Press and hold the SCAN button to automatically search for and store available stations.
• Direct Frequency Input: Use the numeric keypad to directly enter a desired frequency.
• APP Control: Utilize the dedicated mobile application for precise frequency selection and control (see Section 5.5).

5.4 Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the VOL+/- buttons. The current volume level will be displayed on the LCD screen.

5.5 APP Control

The Retekess TR112 can be controlled via a dedicated mobile application, compatible with Android, iOS, and Harmony OS. This allows for remote frequency band switching, mode switching, digital keyboard frequency selection, volume adjustment, and channel selection.

1. Download the 'Radio-C' APP from your device's app store.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and the TR112 radio.
3. Open the APP and follow the on-screen instructions to pair with your TR112.

5.6 Bluetooth Connection

The TR112 supports Bluetooth for wireless audio playback from compatible devices.

1. Press the BT button to switch to Bluetooth mode. The display will indicate Bluetooth pairing mode.
2. On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and select 'TR112' to pair.
3. Once connected, audio from your device will play through the radio's speaker.

5.7 TF Card Playback

The TR112 supports audio playback from a TF (MicroSD) card. Insert a TF card with supported audio files (WAV, MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC) into the TF card slot on the side of the radio. The radio will automatically switch to TF card playback mode.

5.8 EQ Modes

The radio features 6 Equalizer (EQ) modes to enhance your listening experience. Press the EQ button to cycle through Normal, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic, and Country modes.

5.9 Time Settings (Clock, Alarm, Sleep Timer)

The TR112 includes various time-related functions:

• Clock: Set the current time for display.
• Alarm Clock: Configure an alarm to wake you up or remind you of events.
• Sleep Timer: Set the radio to automatically turn off after a specified period, allowing you to fall asleep to audio without draining the battery.

5.10 SOS Function

In emergency situations, the TR112 features an SOS alarm function with an integrated flashlight.

1. Press the dedicated SOS button (usually located on the top or side).
2. The radio will emit a loud alarm sound, and the built-in flashlight will activate, providing visual signaling.

5.11 Lock Function

To prevent accidental changes to frequency or volume, activate the lock function. Refer to the APP operation manual or the product manual for specific button combinations to engage/disengage the lock.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Retekess TR112 radio, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the radio. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry one. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the radio in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To preserve battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for a long time, charge the battery to about 50% every few months.
• Antenna: Handle the telescopic antenna with care to prevent bending or breaking. Retract it when not in use or when transporting the radio.
• Water Exposure: The TR112 is not waterproof. Avoid exposing it to rain, splashes, or high humidity.
