4.1 Front Panel

• Analog Output (XLR L/R): Balanced analog outputs for connecting to power amplifiers or active speakers.

5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your HiFiMAN GoldenWave SERENADE:

1. Placement: Place the SERENADE on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
2. Power Connection: Connect the provided power cable to the AC inlet on the rear panel and then to a suitable wall outlet. Do not power on the unit yet.
3. Source Connection:
   • Digital Sources: Connect your digital audio source (e.g., computer, streamer) to one of the USB-B, USB-C, Coaxial, Optical, or LAN ports on the rear panel.
   • Analog Sources: Connect your analog audio source (e.g., turntable pre-amp, CD player) to the RCA Analog Input ports.
4. Output Connection:
   • Headphones: Connect your headphones to the desired output jack (XLR 4-pin, 6.35mm, or 3.5mm) on the front panel.
   • External Amplifier/Speakers: If using the SERENADE as a DAC/pre-amplifier, connect its XLR or RCA Analog Outputs to your power amplifier or active speakers.
5. Power On: Ensure the volume knob is set to minimum. Flip the power switch on the rear panel to the "ON" position.

6. Operating Instructions

1. Select Input: Use the input select buttons on the front panel to choose your desired audio source (e.g., USB, COAX, OPTICAL, NET, ANALOG). The selected input will typically be indicated by an LED.
2. Adjust Volume: Slowly turn the volume control knob clockwise to increase the volume to a comfortable listening level. Turn counter-clockwise to decrease.
3. Listening: Begin playback from your audio source.
4. Power Off: When finished, turn the volume knob to minimum, then flip the power switch on the rear panel to the "OFF" position.

7. Maintenance
