5. Setup
5.1 Installation
The SHS-1321 is designed for front doors with a thickness between 40mm and 60mm. Follow the detailed instructions in the enclosed installation manual for proper mounting. Ensure the door frame and strike plate are correctly aligned for smooth operation.
5.2 Battery Installation
The lock requires 4 AA batteries (not included). The average battery life is approximately 10 months. Replace all batteries simultaneously when the low battery indicator appears. For emergency power, a 9V battery (not included) can be used externally.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Unlocking the Door
- Using Touch Screen Keypad: Enter your registered password on the touch screen. The lock will disengage. The spy-proof random code system prevents fingerprint traces from revealing your password.
- Using RFID Card: Place a registered RFID card over the card reader area on the exterior unit. The lock will disengage.
- From Inside: Press the 'OPEN' button on the interior unit to unlock the door.
6.2 Locking the Door
- Automatic Locking: The SHS-1321 features an automatic locking mechanism. After the door closes, the deadbolt will automatically extend and lock after a few seconds.
- Manual Locking: If desired, you can manually engage the lock from the interior using the manual knob.
- Double Lock (Privacy Mode): From the interior, press the 'DOUBLE LOCK' button to activate privacy mode. This prevents unlocking from the exterior using passwords or RFID cards.
