1. Introduction

Featuring multiple compartments, tempered glass doors, and an essential anti-tilt device, this unit combines functionality with safety. Please read this manual thoroughly before assembly and use to ensure proper installation and long-term enjoyment of your product.

2. Product Components

Before beginning assembly, verify that all components listed below are present and undamaged. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact customer support.

3. Assembly and Setup Instructions

Assembly requires careful attention to detail. It is recommended to have two people for assembly. Please follow the included graphical instruction manual for detailed step-by-step guidance. Ensure you have a clean, spacious area for assembly.

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and lay them out. Refer to the parts list in your separate instruction booklet to identify each piece. Note that the cabinet may arrive in multiple packages.
2. Assemble the Base Frame: Begin by connecting the base panels according to the diagrams. Ensure all connections are secure.
3. Construct the Lower Cabinet: Attach the side panels, back panel, and internal shelves for the lower section. Install the solid doors, hinges, and handles.
4. Construct the Upper Cabinet: Assemble the upper section, including side panels, back panel, and glass doors. Install hinges, handles, and magnetic catches.
5. Stack and Secure: Carefully place the assembled upper cabinet onto the lower cabinet. Ensure proper alignment and secure them together using the provided connectors.
6. Install Anti-Tilt Device: This is a critical safety step. Secure the anti-tilt device to the top rear of the cabinet and firmly anchor it to a wall stud using appropriate hardware. This prevents accidental tipping.
7. Adjust Doors and Shelves: Adjust hinges as needed to ensure doors close smoothly and are aligned. Place adjustable shelves at desired heights.

4. Operating Instructions

The KOMFOTTEU Sideboard is designed for straightforward operation and efficient storage.

• Opening/Closing Doors: Gently pull the handles to open the doors. The magnetic catches will hold the doors securely closed when pushed shut. Avoid forcing the doors.
• Utilizing Shelves: The cabinet features multiple shelves, including additional storage compartments behind the lower doors and door shelving with protective bars (as shown in Figure 6). Arrange items to distribute weight evenly.
• Weight Capacity: Each shelf has a load capacity of 20 kg (44 lbs). Do not exceed this limit to prevent damage or instability.
• Anti-Tilt Device: Ensure the anti-tilt device remains securely fastened to the wall at all times to prevent accidental tipping, especially in households with children or pets.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your sideboard.

• Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish or glass.
• Glass Care: For tempered glass doors, use a standard glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
• Hardware Check: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary.
• Anti-Tilt Device: Regularly inspect the anti-tilt device to confirm it is still securely attached to both the cabinet and the wall.
• Avoid Overloading: Do not place excessively heavy items on shelves or doors to prevent structural strain.

• Cabinet is Wobbly:
  • Ensure all assembly screws are tightened.
  • Verify the anti-tilt device is properly installed and secured to a wall stud.
  • Check if the cabinet is on a level surface. Use shims if necessary.
• Doors Do Not Close Properly:
  • Adjust the hinges. Most hinges allow for minor adjustments to align doors.
  • Check if the magnetic catches are properly aligned and securely installed.
  • Ensure no items inside the cabinet are obstructing the door's path.
• Scratches or Minor Damage:
  • For minor scratches, touch-up paint or furniture markers matching the white finish may be used.
