TESSAN Universal Travel Adapter

1. Product Overview

2. Setup and Plug Selection

The adapter features retractable prongs for various international plug types. To select the correct plug, use the sliders on the side of the adapter.

How to Select a Plug Type:

1. Identify the required plug type for your destination country (e.g., Type C for most of Europe, Type G for UK).
2. Locate the corresponding slider on the side of the adapter.
3. Push and slide the button to extend the appropriate prongs. Ensure only one set of prongs is extended at a time.
4. Insert the extended prongs into the wall outlet.

Important Note: This adapter is NOT a voltage converter. Ensure your devices support a wide voltage range (100V-250V) before plugging them in. Using 110V/125V-only devices in a 220V-250V region without a voltage converter can damage your device.

3. Operating Instructions

The TESSAN Universal Travel Adapter allows you to charge up to 7 devices simultaneously using its multiple outlets and USB ports.

Using AC Outlets:

• The front universal AC outlet accepts plugs from over 150 countries (excluding South Africa).
• The side 2-prong AC outlet is specifically designed for devices from Japan and the USA.
• Plug your device's power cord directly into the appropriate AC outlet on the adapter.

Using USB Ports:

• The adapter includes 3 USB-C ports (C1, C2, C3) and 2 USB-A ports (A1, A2).
• Connect your USB charging cables to the respective USB ports.
• USB-C ports provide up to 15W MAX output per port for faster charging of compatible devices.
• USB-A ports provide up to 12W MAX output per port.

Total Output Power:

The total maximum output for all USB ports combined is 28W. When using multiple ports, the power distribution will adjust accordingly. For example:

• 1 Port Output: USB-A (12W MAX), USB-C (15W MAX)
• 2 Ports Output: A1+C1 (28W MAX), A1+C3 (28W MAX), etc.
• 5 Ports Output: A1+A2+C1+C2+C3 (28W MAX total)

4. Safety and Maintenance

Your TESSAN Universal Travel Adapter is designed with safety features to protect your devices. Proper use and care will ensure its longevity.

Safety Precautions:

• No Voltage Conversion: As stated previously, this adapter does not convert voltage. Always verify that your electronic devices are dual voltage compatible (100V-250V) before use.
• Avoid High-Power Appliances: Do not use with high-power appliances such as hair dryers, straighteners, curling irons, or electric kettles unless the appliance explicitly states wide voltage compatibility.
• Double Fuse Protection: The adapter includes double 10A fuses for overcurrent protection. If a fuse blows, it can be replaced with a spare fuse (typically located within the adapter or provided separately).

Maintenance:

• Keep the adapter dry and clean. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the adapter.
• When not in use, retract all prongs to prevent damage and for compact storage.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your TESSAN Universal Travel Adapter, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Device Not Charging:
  • Ensure the adapter is securely plugged into a live wall outlet.
  • Verify that the correct country-specific prongs are extended and fully engaged.
  • Check if your device's charging cable is properly connected to the adapter's USB port or AC outlet.
  • Confirm your device is dual voltage compatible (100V-250V).
  • Inspect the adapter's fuse. If blown, replace it with a spare 10A fuse.
• Overheating:
  • Unplug all devices and the adapter from the wall.
  • Reduce the number of devices being charged simultaneously, especially high-power ones.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the adapter.
• Prongs Not Extending/Retracting:
  • Ensure no other prongs are partially extended. Only one set of prongs can be extended at a time.
  • Apply firm but gentle pressure to the slider mechanism. Do not force it.
