3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your CAMCAMP Wireless Solar Security Camera System.

3.1 Initial Charging and Placement

While the cameras are solar-powered, it is recommended to fully charge them via the USB charging cable before initial use, especially if installing in an area with limited sunlight. Position the solar panels to receive maximum direct sunlight throughout the day for continuous power.

3.2 Base Station Connection

Connect the base station to your router using the provided Ethernet cable for a stable wired connection, or configure it for 2.4G WiFi connection. The base station acts as the central hub for your cameras.

3.3 App Installation and Pairing

Download the free “CloudEye” APP from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to add your base station and cameras. The cameras are typically pre-paired to the base station for easy setup.

3.4 HDMI Output Display

The base station includes an HDMI port, allowing you to connect it to a larger display such as a computer monitor, smart TV, or large LCD screen for live viewing of multiple camera feeds.

4. Operating Your System

4.1 PIR Motion Detection & Real-Time Alerts

The cameras utilize advanced PIR (Passive Infrared) detection to accurately distinguish between people and vehicles. Upon detecting motion, the system will immediately push notifications to your phone, and the events will be recorded and saved.

4.2 4MP/2.5K Night Vision & Wide Angle

Equipped with 2 infrared LEDs and a 4mm lens, the cameras provide crystal clear 3MP resolution images and videos. The 120° wide-angle view covers up to 32 feet, ensuring clear visibility even in semi-dark or full darkness with IR illumination.

4.3 Two-Way Audio

The built-in microphone and speakers enable two-way communication through the CloudEye APP. You can hear what's happening and speak to visitors or deter intruders directly from your smartphone.

4.4 Storage Methods

The system supports two storage methods for recorded videos: a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) or optional cloud service. There are no mandatory subscription costs.

5.1 Weather Resistance

The cameras are IP66 waterproof, designed to withstand various outdoor conditions, including sun, dust, rain, and cold. They operate effectively in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C).

5.2 Solar Panel Care

Periodically clean the surface of the solar panels to remove dust, dirt, or debris that may obstruct sunlight and reduce charging efficiency. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your CAMCAMP security system, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

• No Power/Camera Offline: Ensure solar panels are receiving adequate sunlight. Check the battery level in the app. If low, manually charge the camera using the USB cable. Verify the base station is powered on and connected to the network.
• Poor Video Quality: Check your Wi-Fi signal strength. Ensure there are no obstructions between the camera and the base station. Clean the camera lens.
• Motion Detection Issues: Adjust the PIR sensitivity settings in the app. Ensure the camera's field of view is clear of moving objects that might cause false alarms (e.g., tree branches).
• No Audio/Poor Two-Way Audio: Check microphone and speaker settings in the app. Ensure there are no physical obstructions blocking the microphone or speaker on the camera.
• App Connectivity Problems: Ensure your smartphone has a stable internet connection. Restart the CloudEye app. Restart the base station and your home router.
