4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation and Charging

The D710V MK2 uses a Lithium-ion battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use. Use the provided USB Type-C charging cable to charge the light. The power indicator will show charging status.

4.2 Attaching the Ball Joint Bracket

The ZJ18 Ball Joint Bracket is designed to attach the light to any diving camera system. It is compatible with torches having diameters ranging from 23-27mm, offering versatility for various underwater photography setups.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Mode Switching

The D710V MK2 features a side switch for operation. Press the switch to cycle through the different light modes: White High, White Low, Red Light, UV Light, and Off. The sequence may vary slightly; refer to the specific instructions in the included user manual for precise mode cycling.

5.2 Switch Locking Design

To prevent accidental activation and conserve battery, the D710V MK2 includes a switch locking feature. When the flashlight is off, press and hold the side switch for 5 seconds to lock it. To unlock, quickly double-click the button. The flashlight will blink twice to confirm the lock or unlock status. When in lock mode, the battery indicator will display green when the side button is pressed.

5.3 Power Indicator

The built-in LED indicator on the side switch provides real-time battery status:

• Green Light: Battery level is above 40%.
• Red Light: Battery level is between 10% and 40%.
• Flashing Red Light: Battery level is below 10%, indicating a need for immediate recharging.

6. Maintenance

6.1 O-Ring Care

Regularly inspect the O-rings for any signs of damage, cracks, or debris. Clean them with a soft cloth and apply silicone grease before each dive to ensure a watertight seal. Replace O-rings if they show any wear or damage.

6.2 Cleaning

After each dive, rinse the diving light thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and other debris. Wipe it dry with a soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish or seals.

6.3 Battery Care

Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods. If the light will not be used for a long time, remove the battery and store it separately. Recharge the battery periodically to maintain its health.

7. Troubleshooting

• Light not turning on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check if the switch is locked (refer to section 5.2).
• Water leakage: Immediately cease use. Inspect O-rings for damage or improper seating. Clean and re-grease O-rings, then reassemble carefully. If leakage persists, contact customer support.
• Reduced brightness or short run-time: Recharge the battery. If the issue persists, the battery may need replacement.
• Switch unresponsive: Ensure the switch is not locked. If unresponsive after unlocking, contact customer support.
