3. Setup and Assembly

Your Sokany vacuum cleaner can be assembled in two configurations: a stick vacuum for floors and a handheld vacuum for versatile cleaning.

3.1. Assembling the Stick Vacuum

  1. Insert the handle assembly into the top of the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
  2. Attach the floor nozzle to the bottom of the main unit, ensuring it is firmly connected.
  3. Wrap the power cord around the cord hooks for tidy storage when not in use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

  1. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is correctly assembled for your desired cleaning mode (stick or handheld).
  2. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (240V).
  3. Press the power button located on the main unit to turn the vacuum cleaner ON.
  4. To turn OFF, press the power button again.
  5. Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet after use and before performing any maintenance.

4.2. Using the Stick Vacuum

For cleaning floors such as carpet, hardwood, and mattress surfaces:

  • Hold the handle firmly and guide the floor nozzle over the surface to be cleaned.
  • Move the vacuum in a steady, back-and-forth motion for optimal cleaning.

4.3. Using the Handheld Vacuum

For cleaning upholstery, car interiors, stairs, or hard-to-reach areas:

  • Ensure the crevice tool or desired attachment is securely fitted to the main unit.
  • Hold the main unit and direct the attachment towards the area requiring cleaning.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.

5.1. Emptying the Dust Cup

Empty the dust cup after each use or when the debris reaches the MAX fill line to maintain suction power.

  1. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the dust cup release button/latch on the main unit and press it to detach the dust cup.
  3. Hold the dust cup over a trash bin and open the bottom lid to empty the contents.
  4. Close the lid and reattach the dust cup to the main unit until it clicks securely.

5.2. Cleaning the HEPA Filter

The HEPA filter should be cleaned regularly to prevent clogging and maintain suction. It is recommended to clean the filter every 3-5 uses, depending on usage.

  1. With the dust cup detached, carefully remove the HEPA filter.
  2. Tap the filter gently over a trash bin to remove loose dust and debris.
  3. If necessary, rinse the filter under cold running water. Do not use detergent or hot water.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it. Do not use the vacuum with a wet filter.
  5. Once dry, place the filter back into the dust cup and reattach the dust cup to the main unit.

5.3. General Cleaning and Storage

  • Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the appliance is completely dry before storing.
  • Store the vacuum cleaner in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your vacuum cleaner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
