1. TAP-BEAT Footswitch: Sets the tempo of repeats. Indicated by an orange LED.

Setup

1. Power Connection:

2. Audio Connections:
   • Connect your guitar or previous effect pedal to the IN jack on the right side of the pedal.
   • Connect the OUT jack on the left side of the pedal to your amplifier or next effect pedal.
3. Internal Switch Configuration:

Operating Instructions

Basic Delay Operation

• Engage the effect by pressing the EFFECT footswitch (blue LED illuminates).
• Adjust the DELAY knob to set the desired delay time.
• Use the REGEN knob to control the number of repeats. Higher settings will result in more repeats.
• The MIX knob blends the dry signal with the delayed signal. Set to taste.

Tap Tempo and Tap Division

• To set the delay tempo, tap the TAP-BEAT footswitch two or more times in rhythm. The orange LED will indicate the set tempo.
• Press the TAP DIV switch to cycle through different rhythmic subdivisions: dotted 8ths, 8ths, triplets, and 16ths. The LED screen will display the current subdivision.

Modulation Effects

• Press the MOD switch to activate or deactivate the modulation effect (blue LED illuminates when active).
• Adjust the SPEED knob to control the rate of the modulation.
• Adjust the WIDTH knob to control the depth or intensity of the modulation.

Bright Mode

• Engage the BRIGHT switch to add a brighter, more articulate character to your delay repeats. Disengage for the classic dark, mellow Carbon Copy tone.

Expression Pedal Control

• Connect a compatible expression pedal to the EXP jack to dynamically control various parameters (e.g., delay time, modulation speed) in real-time. Refer to the full MXR manual for specific expression pedal assignments and programming.

Presets
