Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the voice recorder. The device comes with a durable rechargeable battery.

  1. Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the USB port on the side of the recorder.
  2. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The indication light on the device will illuminate to show it is charging.
  4. Once fully charged, the indication light may change color or turn off. Disconnect the device from the power source.
  5. The device can also record while charging.

2. Powering On/Off

  • To turn on the device, slide the POWER ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The LCD display will light up.
  • To turn off the device, slide the POWER ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. The device will power down.

Operating Instructions

1. Recording Audio

The Docooler Voice Recorder supports both continuous and voice-activated recording.

Continuous Recording:

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Slide the RECORD & SAVE switch upwards to the RECORD position.
  3. The device will begin recording, and the recording indicator on the LCD display will activate.
  4. To stop recording and save the file, slide the RECORD & SAVE switch downwards to the SAVE position. The file will be saved automatically.

Voice Activated Recording (VOR):

This feature allows the recorder to start recording automatically when sound is detected and pause when silence occurs, saving memory and battery life.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the MENU button to access the settings.
  3. Navigate through the menu using the Previous and Next buttons to find the "VOR" or "Voice Activated" setting.
  4. Select "ON" to enable Voice Activated Recording. You may also be able to adjust sensitivity levels.
  5. Exit the menu. When sound is detected, the recorder will automatically begin recording.
  6. To stop VOR, slide the RECORD & SAVE switch downwards to the SAVE position.

2. Playing Back Recordings

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Press the Play/Pause button to enter playback mode.
  3. Use the Previous and Next buttons to navigate through your recorded files.
  4. Press the Play/Pause button again to start or pause playback of the selected file.
  5. Adjust the volume using the VOL+ and VOL- buttons.
  6. To listen privately, connect earphones to the Earphone Jack.

3. A-B Repeat Function

The A-B Repeat function allows you to repeatedly play a specific segment of an audio file.

  1. During playback, press the A-B Repeating button once to set point A (start of the segment).
  2. Press the A-B Repeating button a second time to set point B (end of the segment).
  3. The device will now continuously loop playback between point A and point B.
  4. Press the A-B Repeating button a third time to exit the A-B repeat mode.

4. Transferring Files to a Computer

You can easily transfer recorded audio files to your computer for storage, editing, or sharing.

  1. Ensure the voice recorder is powered on.
  2. Connect the voice recorder to your computer using the USB cable.
  3. The computer should recognize the device as a removable disk or mass storage device.
  4. Open the recognized drive on your computer. Your recorded files (typically WAV or MP3 format) will be located in a designated folder (e.g., "RECORD" or "VOICE").
  5. Drag and drop or copy and paste the files to your desired location on the computer.
  6. Once file transfer is complete, safely eject the device from your computer before disconnecting the USB cable.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
