4. Product Overview
The LUVUOKYE Wireless Remote Sensor is a compact device designed to monitor environmental conditions. It features an LCD display for direct readings and transmits data wirelessly.
Figure 4.1: Front View of Wireless Remote Sensor
This image displays the front of the LUVUOKYE Wireless Remote Sensor. The prominent LCD screen shows current temperature (e.g., 28.3°C) and humidity (e.g., 58%) readings, along with a channel indicator (CH1) and a signal icon. The lower part of the sensor is labeled "Temperature Humidity Sensor" with a speaker-like grill design.
Figure 4.2: Back View and Dimensions
This image provides a detailed view of the back of the LUVUOKYE Wireless Remote Sensor, highlighting key features and dimensions. It shows the hanging hole at the top, the battery compartment for two 1.5V AAA batteries, a channel switching button, a °C/°F switch, and an area for data transmission. The image also includes dimensional callouts: 126.00mm (height), 43.20mm (width), and 26.60mm (thickness).
Key Components:
- LCD Display: Shows current temperature and humidity.
- Hanging Hole: For easy mounting.
- Channel Switching Button: Allows selection of transmission channel (1, 2, or 3) to avoid interference with other sensors.
- °C/°F Switch: Toggles between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.
- Battery Compartment: Holds 2 x AAA batteries.
5. Setup
- Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the sensor. Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
- Select Channel: Use the "Channel Switching" button inside the battery compartment to select a transmission channel (1, 2, or 3). Ensure this channel matches the channel selected on your main weather station unit for proper synchronization.
- Select Temperature Unit: Use the "°C/°F Switch" inside the battery compartment to choose your preferred temperature unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit).
- Placement: Place the sensor in a suitable location. For outdoor use, choose a shaded area protected from direct rain and sunlight to ensure accurate readings. For indoor use, place it away from direct heat sources or vents.
- Synchronization: Once powered on, the sensor will automatically begin transmitting data. Refer to your main weather station's manual for instructions on how to synchronize it with this remote sensor.
6. Operating Instructions
The LUVUOKYE Wireless Remote Sensor operates automatically once set up. It continuously measures and transmits temperature and humidity data.
- Reading the Display: The LCD display shows the current temperature and humidity. The channel number (e.g., CH1) and a signal strength indicator are also visible.
- Wireless Transmission: The sensor transmits data wirelessly to your compatible weather station at regular intervals. The range may vary depending on environmental factors and obstacles.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the sensor gently with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: When the display becomes dim or the sensor stops transmitting data, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps in Section 5.1. Always replace both batteries at the same time.
- Storage: If storing the sensor for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.
8. Troubleshooting
