3. Setup: Battery Installation
The remote control requires 2x AAA/LR03 1.5V batteries (not included).
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA/LR03 batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: The remote retains programmed memory even after battery replacement.
4. Operating Instructions: Programming the Remote Control
This universal remote uses a learning function to copy signals from your original remote control. You will need a functional original remote for programming.
Programming Steps:
- Preparation: Place the IRRADIO universal remote and your original remote control on a flat surface, facing each other, with their infrared emitters aligned at a distance of approximately 1-3 cm.
- Enter Learning Mode: Press and hold the Power button and the AV button simultaneously on the IRRADIO remote for about 3 seconds. The red indicator LED will light up continuously, indicating the remote is in learning mode.
- Select Button to Program: Press the button on the IRRADIO remote that you wish to program (e.g., V+, P+, A, B). The red indicator LED will start blinking slowly, waiting for a signal.
- Transmit Signal: Press and hold the corresponding button on your original remote control (e.g., Volume Up, Channel Up). Keep holding it until the IRRADIO remote's LED blinks rapidly three times and then lights up continuously again. This indicates successful learning.
- Program More Buttons: Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each button you wish to program.
- Exit Learning Mode: Once all desired buttons are programmed, press the Power button on the IRRADIO remote to exit learning mode. The red indicator LED will turn off.
Important Notes:
- If the LED does not blink rapidly or turns off during programming, the learning process may have failed. Try again, ensuring proper alignment and battery levels in both remotes.
- Ensure the original remote has sufficient battery power for signal transmission.
- The remote can be reprogrammed infinitely.
5. Maintenance
Battery Replacement:
When the remote control's response becomes sluggish or the indicator LED does not light up, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.
Cleaning:
To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or wet cloths, as these can damage the surface or internal components.
6. Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding:
- Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the right polarity.
- Replace old batteries with new AAA/LR03 batteries.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the device.
- Learning function fails:
- Ensure the original remote control is working and has sufficient battery power.
- Verify that the IRRADIO remote and the original remote are aligned correctly, facing each other at a close distance (1-3 cm).
- Make sure you are pressing and holding the buttons for the required duration during programming.
- Try programming in a room with less ambient light, as strong light sources can sometimes interfere with IR signals.
- Programmed button does not work:
- The learning process might not have been successful for that specific button. Repeat the programming steps for that button.
- Ensure the original remote's signal was strong and clear during programming.
