2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Power On/Off
The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when connected to the vehicle's power and the ignition is turned on. It will power off automatically when the ignition is turned off.
2.2 Recording Modes
The A119 Mini 2 supports various recording modes:
- Loop Recording: Continuously records video in segments (e.g., 1, 3, 5, 10 minutes). When the memory card is full, the oldest files are overwritten.
- Emergency Lock: Automatically locks the current video segment upon detecting an impact via the G-sensor, preventing it from being overwritten. This can also be manually activated by pressing the dedicated button.
- Parking Modes: (Requires optional HK4 hardwire kit) Offers three advanced parking modes: Auto Event Detection (buffered), Low Bitrate Recording, and Time Lapse Recording.

Image: This diagram outlines the three parking solutions available with the VIOFO A119 Mini 2. Auto Event Detection buffers footage before and after an event, Low Bitrate Recording offers continuous recording in smaller file sizes, and Time Lapse Recording captures video at low frame rates.
2.3 Smart Voice Control
The dash cam features smart voice control for hands-free operation. Use simple voice commands to perform actions such as locking video, taking photos, turning Wi-Fi on/off, and more. Voice notifications will inform you of setting changes or memory card errors.

3. Features
3.1 STARVIS 2 Sensor & 2K 60fps Capture
The A119 Mini 2 utilizes the newest STARVIS 2 IMX675 image sensor, enabling 2K (2560x1440P) video recording at 60 frames per second (fps). This ensures low noise, eliminates motion blur, and captures clear details day and night. It supports a maximum resolution of 2.7K (2592x1944P) at 30fps. The 140° wide-angle lens provides a broad field of view.

3.2 DOL-HDR Night Vision 2.0
Optimized for low-light conditions, the A119 Mini 2 combines the STARVIS 2 IMX675 image sensor, a 7-Glass F1.6 large aperture lens, and DOL-HDR technology. This combination balances extremely bright and dark areas, accurately restoring 2K details in challenging lighting, such as nighttime roads or tunnel entrances/exits.

4. Maintenance
4.1 MicroSD Card Management
Dashcams require memory cards that can withstand heavy writing cycles. It is recommended to use VIOFO industrial high endurance microSD cards, which are optimized for dash cam recording and offer greater durability. Regularly format the microSD card to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
4.2 General Care
Keep the dash cam clean by gently wiping the lens and screen with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods, as this can affect its performance and lifespan.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Dash Cam Not Powering On
- Ensure the car charger is properly connected to the vehicle's power outlet and the dash cam.
- Verify that the vehicle's ignition is on.
- Use only the original VIOFO car charger and cable.
5.2 Wi-Fi Connection Issues
- Ensure the Wi-Fi function is enabled on the dash cam.
- Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone.
- Ensure your smartphone is within range of the dash cam's Wi-Fi signal.
- Update the VIOFO app to the latest version.
5.3 Mount Adhesion Issues
- Ensure the windshield surface is clean and dry before applying the mount.
- Apply firm pressure to the mount for at least 30 seconds during installation.
- Use the provided windshield static stickers for better adhesion and easier removal.
- Avoid direct sunlight on the mount for extended periods immediately after installation.
5.4 Video Protection/Saving Issues
- Adjust the G-sensor sensitivity settings. If set too high, minor bumps can trigger emergency recordings, filling the card quickly.
- Ensure the microSD card is a high-endurance type and is not full or corrupted. Format the card regularly.
