Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before using this fan.
  • Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating label on the fan.
  • Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard the fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect the fan, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the fan.
  • Do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on any soft surface, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • Always place the fan on a stable, flat, and level surface to prevent it from tipping over.
  • This fan is intended for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.
  • Unplug the fan from the outlet when not in use, when moving it from one location to another, and before cleaning.
  • Do not operate the fan in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
  • Do not place the fan or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliance.
  • Do not operate the fan with a wet hand.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Setup and Assembly

Your MISTRAL Retrograde fan requires minimal assembly. Follow these steps to set up your fan:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or in case of return.
  2. Base Assembly: Place the fan base on a flat, stable surface.
  3. Attach Stand: Insert the main stand pole into the base, ensuring it is securely fastened. Some models may require tightening a screw from underneath the base.
  4. Attach Fan Head: Secure the fan head assembly to the top of the stand pole. Ensure all connections are firm.
  5. Positioning: Place the fan in the desired location, ensuring it is on a stable, level surface and away from curtains or other objects that could obstruct airflow.
  6. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet (220 Volts).

Note: Before first use, ensure all parts are correctly assembled and secured.

Operating Instructions

Your MISTRAL Retrograde fan can be operated using the electronic knob on the fan unit or the provided remote control.

Using the Electronic Knob (On-Unit Control)

  • Power On/Off: Press the central knob to turn the fan ON or OFF.
  • Speed Adjustment: Rotate the knob clockwise to increase fan speed and counter-clockwise to decrease fan speed. There are 12 speed settings available.
  • Oscillation: Press and hold the knob for approximately 2 seconds to activate or deactivate the oscillation function.
  • Timer: Press the knob repeatedly to cycle through timer settings (e.g., 1 hour, 2 hours, up to 8 hours). The display will indicate the selected timer duration.

Using the Remote Control

Ensure the remote control has working batteries. Point the remote control towards the fan's receiver for optimal operation.

  • Power Button (): Press to turn the fan ON or OFF.
  • Speed Increase Button (+): Press to increase the fan speed. There are 12 speed settings.
  • Speed Decrease Button (-): Press to decrease the fan speed.
  • Oscillation Button (): Press to activate or deactivate the left and right oscillation function (up to 90°).
  • Timer Button (): Press repeatedly to set the auto-off timer for durations up to 8 hours.

Manual Adjustments

  • Tilt Adjustment: The fan head can be manually tilted up or down by up to 35°. Gently adjust the fan head to your desired angle. Do not force the movement.

Display Features

  • Auto-Off Blue Light Display: The fan features a blue light display that indicates current settings. This display will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity to minimize disturbance.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your fan.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the fan from the power outlet before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  2. Exterior Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or polishes as these may damage the finish.
  3. Grille and Blades: Dust can accumulate on the fan grille and blades. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or a soft, dry cloth to gently remove dust. For thorough cleaning, the front grille may be carefully removed (refer to assembly instructions in reverse if applicable) to access the blades. Ensure the fan is completely dry before plugging it back in.
  4. Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the fan in its original packaging or cover it to protect it from dust. Store in a cool, dry place.

Caution: Do not immerse the fan in water or allow water to drip into the motor housing.
