Setup
Mounting the Light:
The moving head light can be installed on a truss or wall using the provided U-bracket and screws. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and capable of supporting the weight of the fixture.
- Attach the U-bracket to the bottom of the light using the pre-installed screws.
- Securely fasten the U-bracket to your desired mounting location (truss, wall, etc.).
- Ensure the fixture is stable and cannot vibrate loose during operation.

Connecting Power and DMX:
Connect the provided power cable to the power input on the rear of the unit. For DMX control, connect DMX cables from your controller to the DMX IN port, and then from DMX OUT to the next fixture in the chain.

Operating Modes
The ZKYMZL Moving Head DJ Light offers several operating modes, selectable via the onboard display and buttons (MENU, UP, DOWN, ENTER) or an external DMX controller.
1. DMX512 Control Mode:
This mode allows for precise control over all functions using a DMX controller. The fixture utilizes 12 DMX channels. Connect your DMX controller to the DMX IN port. The light will automatically detect the DMX signal and switch to DMX mode without needing to set D001.
- Channel Functions: Refer to the DMX channel chart in the included user manual for specific control parameters (e.g., pan, tilt, color, gobo, strobe, dimming).
- Dimming: 0-100% electronic dimming is available.
- Strobe: Variable electronic strobe effects.
2. Automatic Mode:
The light will cycle through pre-programmed sequences of colors, gobos, and movements. This mode is suitable for continuous background effects.
3. Sound-Activated Mode:
The light reacts to ambient sound or music, changing patterns and movements in sync with the audio. Sensitivity can be adjusted via the onboard menu.
4. Master-Slave Mode:
Connect multiple fixtures using DMX cables. Designate one unit as the "Master" and others as "Slaves." The slave units will mirror the master's movements and effects, creating synchronized displays. The system automatically links and identifies the master once the signal line is connected.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the exterior of the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. For optics, use a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth to avoid scratches. Ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Cooling System: The internal fan automatically regulates temperature. Ensure vents are clear of obstructions to maintain proper airflow.
- Inspection: Periodically check all cables and connections for wear or damage. Ensure mounting hardware remains secure.
