3.1. Monitor (NVR)

The 7-inch touchscreen monitor serves as the central hub for your security system. It features an integrated DVR for local recording and allows for live viewing, playback, and system configuration. It supports external storage via Micro SD card (up to 128GB) or USB HDD/SSD.

3.2. Camera

The included wireless camera provides 720p HD video resolution. Its IP66-rated metal casing ensures durability and resistance to various weather conditions, making it suitable for outdoor use. The camera features 6 IR LEDs for night vision up to 8 meters and communicates wirelessly with the monitor using encrypted signals.

4. Setup

4.1. Monitor Connections

1. Attach Antenna: Screw the provided antenna onto the designated port on the monitor.
2. Power Connection: Connect one of the power adapters to the monitor's power input and plug it into a wall outlet.
3. Storage (Optional):
   • Insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB) into the Micro SD slot for local recording.
   • Connect an external USB HDD or SSD (up to 2TB) to the USB port for additional storage.
4. Network Connection (Optional): For remote viewing, connect the LAN cable from the monitor's RJ45 port to your router.

4.2. Camera Installation

1. Mounting: Use the provided mounting bracket to securely install the camera in your desired location. Ensure the location provides a clear view and is within range of the monitor's wireless signal (up to 300m without obstacles).
2. Attach Antenna: Screw the provided antenna onto the camera's antenna port.
3. Power Connection: Connect the second power adapter to the camera's power input and plug it into a wall outlet.

4.3. System Pairing

The camera and monitor are typically pre-paired at the factory. Once both devices are powered on, the camera's video feed should automatically appear on the monitor. If not, refer to the on-screen menu for manual pairing instructions.

5. Operation

5.1. Live View and Recording

• Live View: Once powered on, the monitor will display the live feed from the connected cameras. You can switch between cameras or view multiple cameras simultaneously in split-screen mode.
• Recording: The system will automatically begin recording to the inserted Micro SD card or connected USB HDD/SSD based on your settings (e.g., continuous, scheduled, or motion-triggered).

5.2. Playback

Access the playback function on the touchscreen monitor to review recorded footage. You can navigate through recordings by date and time.

5.3. Remote Monitoring (App)

If the monitor is connected to your network via the LAN cable, you can monitor your system remotely using the dedicated mobile application (available for iOS and Android).

1. Download App: Search for the 'HeySmart' app on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Account Creation: Follow the in-app instructions to create an account.
3. Add Device: Use the app to scan the QR code on the monitor or manually enter the device ID to add your security system.
4. Remote Access: Once added, you can view live feeds, access recordings, and receive notifications directly on your smartphone.

5.4. Motion Detection

The system features motion detection capabilities. When motion is detected, the system can trigger recording and send push notifications to your smartphone via the mobile app (if configured).

• No Image on Monitor:

  • Attempt manual pairing if automatic pairing fails.
• No Recording:
  • Verify that a Micro SD card or USB HDD/SSD is properly inserted/connected and recognized by the monitor.
  • Check recording settings (e.g., schedule, motion detection).
  • Ensure sufficient storage space is available.
• Remote Access Not Working:
  • Confirm the monitor is connected to your router via the LAN cable and has internet access.
  • Ensure your smartphone has a stable internet connection.
  • Verify that the device is correctly added to the mobile app.
• Poor Night Vision:
  • Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's IR LEDs.
  • Clean the camera lens.
