Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the binoculars and all accessories from the carrying case.
- Attach Shoulder Strap: Securely attach the provided shoulder strap to the designated loops on the binoculars for convenient carrying.
- Adjust Interpupillary Distance: Hold the binoculars with both hands and look through the eyepieces. Adjust the distance between the two barrels until you see a single, circular field of view.
- Focusing (Initial Setup):
- Step 1 (Left Eye): Close your right eye and look through the left eyepiece. Rotate the central focus wheel until the image is clear and sharp.
- Step 2 (Right Eye): Close your left eye and look through the right eyepiece. Rotate the diopter adjustment ring on the right eyepiece until the image is clear and sharp.
- Once both eyes are individually focused, use only the central focus wheel for general focusing on different distances.
- Attaching Tripod Adapter: If using a tripod, remove the cap covering the tripod adapter thread on the central axis of the binoculars. Screw the tripod mounting adapter into this thread, then attach the adapter to your tripod.

Operating Instructions
After completing the initial setup, your ESSLNB 20x80 binoculars are ready for use. Follow these steps for optimal viewing:
- Remove Lens Covers: Take off both the objective lens covers and eyepiece covers.
- Adjust Eyecups: If you wear eyeglasses, twist down the eyecups. If you do not wear eyeglasses, twist them up to the desired comfortable position.
- Observe: Point the binoculars towards your desired subject. Use the central focus wheel to bring the image into sharp focus.
- Tripod Use: For extended viewing sessions or high-magnification observation, especially for stargazing, using a tripod is highly recommended to minimize shake and provide a steady image.

Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your binoculars and ensure continued clear viewing.
- Cleaning Lenses: Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optics. Gently wipe the lens surfaces. For stubborn smudges, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid on the cloth, not directly on the lens.
- Cleaning Body: Wipe the rubber armored body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the binoculars in their carrying bag in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure lens covers are in place to protect the optics from dust and scratches.
- Waterproof Care: While waterproof, avoid submerging the binoculars. If they get wet, wipe them dry thoroughly before storing.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your binoculars, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Blurry Image / Difficulty Focusing:
- Ensure both the central focus wheel and the right eyepiece diopter adjustment are correctly set for your vision (refer to 'Setup' section).
- Check that the objective and eyepiece lens covers are fully removed.
- Clean the lenses if they are dirty or smudged.
- Double Vision:
- Adjust the interpupillary distance (distance between the barrels) until you see a single, merged image.
- Re-adjust the diopter setting for your right eye.
- Unstable Image:
- At 20x magnification, even slight hand movements can cause image shake. Use a tripod for stability, especially for prolonged viewing.
- Ensure the tripod and tripod adapter are securely fastened.
- Fogging Lenses:
- This can occur due to rapid temperature changes. Allow the binoculars to acclimate to the ambient temperature.
- While the binoculars are waterproof, internal fogging can still happen in extreme conditions. If persistent, contact customer support.
