  • Securely attach the bow mount to the bottom of the fixture using the two screws.
  • If mounting to a truss, use appropriate clamps (not included) to attach the bow mount to the truss. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
  • Maintain adequate ventilation around the fixture to prevent overheating.

5.3 DMX Connection (Optional)

For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller's output to the "DMX IN" port on the fixture. For multiple fixtures, daisy-chain them by connecting the "DMX OUT" of the first fixture to the "DMX IN" of the next.

6. Operating Modes

The DJXFLI Moving Head Light offers four primary operating modes:

6.1 Control Panel Operation

The control panel on the front of the base features an LED display and four buttons: MENU, DOWN, UP, and ENTER. Use these buttons to navigate through settings and select operating modes.

6.2 Auto Mode

In Auto mode, the fixture runs through its 8 internal pre-programmed light shows automatically. This mode is ideal for quick setup without external control.

  • Press the MENU button until "Auto" or a similar indicator appears on the LED display.
  • Press ENTER to confirm. The light will begin its automatic program.

6.3 Sound Activated Mode

The Sound Activated mode allows the light to react to ambient sound, creating dynamic effects synchronized with music or audio. The sensitivity can often be adjusted via the menu.

  • Press the MENU button until "Sound" or "Snd" appears.
  • Press ENTER to activate. The built-in microphone will detect sound and trigger light patterns.

6.4 DMX 512 Mode

DMX 512 mode provides professional control over all functions of the light using a DMX controller. The fixture supports 16/30 DMX channels.

  • Connect the DMX cable as described in Section 5.3.
  • Press the MENU button until "DMX" or "Addr" appears.
  • Use UP/DOWN to set the DMX address (e.g., A001). Press ENTER to confirm.
  • Refer to the DMX Channel Chart (usually provided in a separate DMX manual or appendix) for specific channel functions.

6.5 Master-Slave Mode

In Master-Slave mode, multiple fixtures can be synchronized. One fixture acts as the "Master" (running Auto or Sound mode), and others act as "Slaves," mirroring the Master's actions.

  • Connect all fixtures via DMX cables in a daisy-chain.
  • Set the first fixture (Master) to Auto or Sound Activated mode.
  • Set all other fixtures (Slaves) to "Slave" mode via their control panels.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your moving head light.

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always disconnect power before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the exterior of the fixture.
  • For lenses, use a specialized lens cleaning solution and cloth to avoid scratches.
  • Periodically clean the cooling fan vents to prevent dust buildup, which can impede airflow and cause overheating.

7.2 Storage

When not in use, store the fixture in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in its original packaging or a padded case to protect it from damage.
