4. Setup Instructions

  2. Unscrew the tank cap and fill the tank with cool, clean tap water. Do not fill with hot water.
  3. Securely replace the tank cap.
  4. Place the filled water tank back onto the base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  5. Ensure the mist output cover is properly in place.

4.3 Steam Inhaler Mode Setup

  1. Remove the water tank and mist output cover from the base.
  2. Fill the base reservoir with cool, clean tap water up to the indicated fill line. Do not overfill.
  3. Attach the steam inhaler mask directly onto the base, ensuring it clicks into place.
  4. If using a HALLS Vapor Pad, insert it into the designated slot on the inhaler mask or medicine cup.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Operation

  1. Plug the unit into a standard electrical outlet.
  2. Press the power button once to turn the unit on. The indicator light will illuminate.
  3. The unit will begin producing warm mist or steam.
  4. To turn off the unit, press the power button again.
  5. The unit features an automatic shut-off when the water level is too low.

5.2 Using as a Humidifier

  • Ensure the unit is set up in humidifier mode as described in Section 4.2.
  • Place the humidifier in the desired room, ensuring mist is not directed at walls or furniture.
  • The humidifier will run for approximately 8 hours on a full 0.5-gallon tank.
  • For optional aromatherapy, place a HALLS Vapor Pad into the medicine cup on top of the mist output cover.

5.3 Using as a Steam Inhaler

  • Ensure the unit is set up in steam inhaler mode as described in Section 4.3.
  • Once steam begins to generate, place your face comfortably over the inhaler mask.
  • Breathe normally, inhaling the warm steam.
  • Recommended usage time is 5-15 minutes per session. Do not exceed 30 minutes.
  • Always maintain a safe distance from the steam output to avoid burns.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance and hygiene. Clean the unit based on frequency of use, ideally every 1-2 days.

6.1 Daily Maintenance

  • Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  • Rinse the tank and base with clean water.
  • Allow all parts to air dry before reassembly or storage.

6.2 Weekly Cleaning (or as needed for mineral buildup)

  1. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool.
  2. Remove the water tank and mist output cover/inhaler mask.
  3. To clean the heating element and base: Fill the base with 2 cups of white vinegar. Let it soak for 20-30 minutes to loosen mineral deposits.
  4. Use a soft brush or cloth to gently scrub away any mineral buildup. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  5. Empty the vinegar solution and rinse the base thoroughly with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
  6. To clean the water tank and attachments: Fill the tank with 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 cup of water. Swish the solution around and let it soak for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
  7. Rinse the mist output cover and inhaler mask with warm water.
  8. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.

Optional Demineralization Filter: If you have excessively hard water, an optional demineralization filter can be purchased and screwed directly into the tank cap to reduce mineral dust.
