Introduction
The SONICAKE Matribox II is a versatile multi-effects processor designed for guitar, bass, and acoustic instruments. It features advanced digital modeling technology to deliver high-fidelity sound reproduction, a wide array of built-in effects, amp models, and IR cabinet simulations. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Matribox II.

Setup
1.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection
Carefully remove the Matribox II from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all components are present.

1.2 Connecting the Matribox II
Connect your instrument to the INPUT jack. For external effects, utilize the FX LOOP (SEND/RETURN) connections. Output can be routed via BALANCED OUT (L/MONO, R) or PHONES for headphones. The USB port allows connection to a computer for audio interface functions and software editing.

1.3 Powering On
Connect the included 9V DC (1000mA) power adapter to the DC 9V jack. The Matribox II does not feature a dedicated power button. The unit will power on automatically upon connection to a power source.
Operating the Matribox II
2.1 User Interface Overview
The Matribox II features a large color screen and multiple physical controls for intuitive operation. The main screen displays the current preset, effect chain, and parameters. Knobs allow for adjustment of master volume, global settings, and individual effect parameters. Footswitches enable preset changes and effect toggling.

2.2 Preset Management
The Matribox II comes with 198 presets (99 factory presets). You can browse through presets using the footswitches or the parameter knob. To save changes to a preset or create new ones, use the SAVE button. The unit supports 15 user IR slots for custom cabinet simulations.

2.3 Effects and Amp Modeling
The Matribox II offers 200+ built-in effects and 63 legendary amp models. The adjustable signal chain allows for a maximum of 10 simultaneous effect blocks. Effect categories include:
- FX1/FX2: General effects (e.g., compression, boost, wah, distortion).
- AMP: Amplifier models.
- NR: Noise Reduction.
- CAB: Cabinet simulations.
- EQ: Equalization.
- MOD: Modulation effects (e.g., chorus, flanger, phaser).
- DLY: Delay effects.
- RVB: Reverb effects.

2.4 Looper and Drum Machine
The unit includes a 90-second looper function and 100 built-in drum rhythms with metronome. These features are accessible via dedicated controls on the unit.
2.5 USB Audio Interface and Software
The Matribox II functions as a USB audio interface with stereo audio streaming, supporting OTG function for direct connection to iOS/Android mobile devices. Free Mac/Windows software is available for sound editing and presets managing, offering virtual I/O interfaces for Loopback and Re-Amp operations.
