3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

Note: Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.

3.2 Pairing with Controllers

The RC03RF remote uses 2.4G RF technology for quick pairing without the need for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or a gateway. The pairing process typically involves the following steps:

  1. Ensure your compatible LED controller (e.g., C03W, C04W, C05W) is powered on and connected to your LED strip lights.
  2. On the LED controller, locate the pairing button (often labeled 'SET' or 'PAIR'). Press and hold this button for a few seconds until the connected LED strip lights flash or indicate pairing mode.
  3. Within 15 seconds of the controller entering pairing mode, press one of the Zone ON buttons (1, 2, 3, or 4) on the RC03RF remote control.
  4. The LED strip lights should flash again, indicating successful pairing.
  5. Repeat this process for each zone you wish to control with a separate controller, or for multiple controllers within the same zone.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surface or internal components.

6.2 Battery Replacement

When the remote's performance degrades or it stops responding, replace the two AAA batteries. Ensure proper polarity during installation.

6.3 Storage

Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding:
Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary. Ensure the remote is within the 30-meter operating range of the controller. Re-pair the remote with the controller if the connection is lost.
  • LEDs flickering:
This can sometimes be caused by an unstable power supply to the LED controller. Ensure your power adapter provides stable voltage and sufficient current for your LED strips.
  • Limited control range:
Obstacles such as thick walls or metal structures can reduce the effective range. Ensure there are no major obstructions between the remote and the controller. Minimize interference from other 2.4Ghz devices.
  • Incorrect color display:
Verify that the LED strip type (RGB, RGBW, RGBCCT) matches the controller and that the remote is correctly paired for that specific type.
