Introduction

The LMP WKB-1243 is a full-size wireless Bluetooth keyboard designed for seamless integration with multiple devices. Featuring a multi-host function, it allows connection to up to four different devices, including Mac, iOS, and Windows PCs, with quick switching capabilities. This keyboard includes a 110-key (ISO) layout with a numeric keypad and laser-engraved keycaps for durability. Its anodized aluminum top cover provides a robust and elegant design. The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery offers extended usage, and charging is facilitated via the included USB-C cable.

Setup

1. Charging the Keyboard

Before initial use, fully charge the keyboard. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to a 5V USB-C power source (e.g., a Mac's Thunderbolt 3 port or a standard USB-C charger). The Caps Lock LED will indicate the battery status. The USB-C cable is for charging only and does not support data transmission.

2. Pairing with Devices (Multi-Host Function)

The LMP WKB-1243 keyboard supports connecting to up to four different devices simultaneously via Bluetooth. Follow these steps to pair your devices:

1. Ensure the keyboard is powered on.
2. On the keyboard, press and hold the Fn key and one of the host keys (1, 2, 3, or 4) located on the numeric keypad for approximately 3-5 seconds until the corresponding host LED (above the numeric keypad) starts blinking rapidly. This indicates the keyboard is in pairing mode for that host channel.
3. On your device (Mac, iOS device, or Windows PC), navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
4. Search for available Bluetooth devices. The keyboard should appear as "LMP WKB-1243" or similar.
5. Select the keyboard to pair. Your device may prompt you to enter a code on the keyboard and press Enter. Follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Once paired, the host LED will stop blinking and remain solid, indicating a successful connection.
7. Repeat these steps for up to four different devices, assigning each to a different host key (1, 2, 3, or 4).

• All devices must be Bluetooth compatible.

Note: FileVault is supported. However, system startup with key combinations (e.g., selecting the operating system by pressing the Alt key at startup) is not supported with this keyboard.

Operating Instructions

Switching Between Connected Devices

To switch between your paired devices, simply press the Fn key simultaneously with the corresponding host key (1, 2, 3, or 4) on the numeric keypad. The keyboard will instantly connect to the selected device.

Function Keys (F1-F19)

The keyboard features typical Mac-specific function keys for controlling brightness, media playback, volume, etc. These functions are activated directly. To use the standard F1-F19 functions instead of the special characters, press the Fn key simultaneously with the Esc key. This toggles the function key behavior.

Caps Lock LED

The Caps Lock LED indicates when Caps Lock is active. It also serves as a battery status indicator. When the battery is low, the LED may blink or change color (refer to specific behavior in troubleshooting if needed).

Maintenance

Battery Care

• To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the keyboard frequently.
• Charge the keyboard when the battery indicator (Caps Lock LED) suggests low power.
• If storing the keyboard for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% before storage and recharge every few months to prevent deep discharge.

Cleaning

• Disconnect the keyboard from any power source before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents.
