Introduction

The Potensic ATOM SE GPS Drone is a lightweight, high-performance quadcopter designed for both beginners and experienced pilots. Setup

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully unpack all components from the box. Ensure the following items are present:

• Propellers (spare set included)

2. Charging the Batteries

The ATOM SE features a 60W fast parallel charging hub. This allows you to charge up to three batteries simultaneously in approximately 1.5 hours. Connect the charging hub to a power source using the provided cable. Insert the flight batteries into the charging slots. The indicator lights on the hub will show the charging status.

3. App Installation and Remote Control Setup

Download the official Potensic app (compatible with iOS 11 and Android 7.0 or above) from your device's app store. Once installed, connect your smartphone to the remote control using one of the three provided adapter cables (Micro, Type C, or Lightning). Ensure your phone is in airplane mode during flight to prevent signal interference, especially for iOS devices.

The ATOM SE drone weighs less than 249g, meaning it does not require FAA or Remote ID registration in many regions, simplifying the setup process for new users.

Operating Instructions

1. Flight Modes and Performance

The SurgeFly flight control system offers three distinct flight modes: Video, Normal, and Sport. These modes cater to different skill levels and flying preferences. In Sport Mode, the drone can reach a maximum speed of 16m/s in just 2.8 seconds, providing a dynamic flight experience.

The drone is equipped with brushless motors, enhancing its resistance to wind up to Level-5, ensuring stable flight even in challenging conditions.

2. Camera and Image Stabilization

The ATOM SE features a 1/3'' CMOS Sony Sensor, capable of capturing 12MP photos and 4K@30fps HD video. The exclusive ShakeVanish technology provides electronic image stabilization (EIS), ensuring stable and smooth footage. The camera offers a 118° FOV and can be vertically adjusted from +20° to -90°.

3. Intelligent Flight Features

The ATOM SE GPS drone incorporates precise GPS auto-return functions. It will safely auto-fly back to its take-off point if the signal is lost or the battery is low. Additionally, it supports multiple intelligent flight modes:

• Follow Me: The drone automatically tracks and follows a designated subject.
• Waypoint Flight: Plan a flight path by setting multiple waypoints on the map, and the drone will follow the route.
• Circle Flight: The drone will orbit around a point of interest, capturing cinematic footage.

4. FPV Transmission

The PixSync 2.0 technology provides a maximum 4KM (13,123ft) HD digital video transmission range, ensuring stable and consistent video feed with low latency in most shooting conditions.

• Firmware Updates: All firmware supports FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) updates. It is highly recommended to keep your drone's firmware up to date to enjoy continuous improvements in flight experience and shooting quality. Ensure a micro SD card is inserted when updating camera-related firmware (SD card not included).
• Propeller Inspection: Regularly check propellers for any signs of damage (cracks, bends, chips). Replace damaged propellers immediately using the provided spare set and screwdriver.
• Cleaning: Keep the drone and camera lens clean from dust, dirt, and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
• Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries.

Troubleshooting

• Drone not responding or signal loss:
  • Ensure the remote control and drone are fully charged.
  • Verify that your smartphone is properly connected to the remote control.

  • Check for any damaged propellers and replace them if necessary.

  • Try reinstalling the Potensic app.
