Setup and Installation
The Phillips MX7052 PCD-360 Digital Deadbolt is designed for surface-mount installation on interior wood or metal doors. It is compatible with both left and right-opening doors. Basic tools are required for installation.

Note: 4 AA batteries are required and are not included with the product. The deadbolt does not require an electrical connection.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Door: Ensure the door surface is clean and free of obstructions. This deadbolt is a surface-mount type.
- Install the Mounting Plate: Secure the interior mounting plate to the door. This plate can be screwed or welded into place depending on the door material and desired security.
- Install the Exterior Keypad: Position the exterior digital keypad unit on the outside of the door, aligning it with the mounting plate.
- Install the Interior Mechanism: Attach the interior mechanism, which includes the thumb turn, to the inside of the door, connecting it to the exterior unit and the mounting plate.
- Secure the Units: Use the provided screws to firmly secure both the exterior and interior units to the door.
- Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the interior unit and insert 4 AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
- Test Functionality: After installation, test the deadbolt's operation using both the keypad and the interior thumb turn before closing the door completely.

Operating Instructions
The Phillips MX7052 PCD-360 Digital Deadbolt offers multiple ways to lock and unlock your door.
Unlocking the Door:
- Using the Keypad: Enter your 4 to 8-digit user code on the exterior numeric keypad. The deadbolt will unlock, and the light indicator will confirm. The keypad supports up to 50 unique user codes.
- Using the Key: Insert the physical key into the key cylinder on the exterior unit and turn to unlock.
- From the Interior: Turn the thumb turn on the interior mechanism to unlock the deadbolt.
Locking the Door:
- From the Exterior: Press any key on the keypad or simply close the door (if auto-lock is enabled, refer to programming section for details). The light indicator will confirm locking.
- From the Interior: Turn the thumb turn on the interior mechanism to lock the deadbolt.
Light Indicator:
The light indicator on the exterior keypad provides visual feedback:
- Green Light: Indicates successful locking or unlocking.
- Red Light: Indicates an incorrect code entry or a system error.
Programming User Codes:
Refer to the detailed programming section in the full manual for instructions on adding, deleting, or modifying user codes. The deadbolt supports codes ranging from 4 to 8 digits and can store up to 50 unique user codes.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement:
The deadbolt requires 4 AA batteries. When the batteries are low, the light indicator may flash or the keypad may become unresponsive. To replace:
- Locate the battery compartment on the interior unit (refer to Figure 2).
- Remove the cover.
- Replace all four AA batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
- Replace the cover.
- Test the deadbolt's operation.
Cleaning:
Clean the exterior keypad and interior unit with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.
Troubleshooting
