Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ACECAR Digital GPS Speedometer, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the display and casing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, disconnect it from the power source and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Care: Ensure the Micro USB cable is not kinked or pinched, as this can damage the cable and affect power delivery.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ACECAR Digital GPS Speedometer, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Speed Display:
If the GPS blinks while searching for numbers, move the car to a wide, open area. The display should work after the GPS light becomes steady. Ensure the device is receiving adequate power (5V supply is required; higher voltage is forbidden).
- Inaccurate Speed Reading:
You can fine-tune the speed for more accuracy:
- Check if the unit is correct (KM/H or MPH).
- Connect the HUD display to the car USB interface, turn it on, and stop blinking.
- Press the scroll wheel button inward for 3 seconds to enter item 1 (1-7).
- Scroll the button to the right to switch to item 5.
- Press the wheel button inward to enter the speed setting (factory default is 107).
- Scroll the wheel button to the left or right to adjust the value. For example, if your car's speed is 29 MPH and the speedometer shows 34 MPH, you need to adjust "107" to "102". If your car's speed is 29 MPH and the speedometer shows 24 MPH, adjust "107" to "112".
- Finally, press the scroll wheel button inward for 3 seconds to save and exit.
