1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the JOYOR S Series Electric Scooter. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your S10S model. Please read this manual thoroughly before your first ride to ensure optimal performance and safety.

2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Always wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear when riding. Adhere to local traffic laws and regulations. Avoid riding in adverse weather conditions or on slippery surfaces. Do not allow children to operate the scooter without adult supervision. Ensure all components are securely fastened before each ride.

4. Setup

4.1 Unfolding the Scooter

1. Place the scooter on a flat surface.
2. Locate the folding mechanism at the base of the handlebar stem.
3. Release the safety latch and lift the handlebar stem upwards until it locks into place. Ensure the locking mechanism is fully engaged.
4. Secure the additional safety lock as shown in the diagram to prevent accidental folding during operation.

4.2 Handlebar Assembly

The handlebars may come detached. Use the provided installation tool kit to securely attach the handlebars to the stem. Ensure all screws are tightened firmly.

4.3 Initial Charging

Before your first ride, fully charge the scooter's battery. Connect the charger to the charging port on the scooter and then to a power outlet. The charging indicator on the charger will change color (e.g., red to green) when fully charged. The initial charge may take 10-12 hours.

5. Operating the Scooter

5.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the display to turn the scooter on or off.

5.2 LCD Display Functions

The high-definition LCD display provides real-time information:

• Speed: Current riding speed.
• Battery Level: Indicates remaining battery charge.
• Motor Output: Shows motor power usage.
• Error/Warning Zone: Displays alerts for potential issues.
• Automatic Display: Adjusts brightness or content automatically.

5.3 Riding Instructions

• Starting: Place one foot on the deck and push off with the other foot. Once you gain a little momentum, gently press the throttle.
• Acceleration: Use the thumb throttle to control your speed. The dual 1000W motors provide powerful acceleration and can handle inclines up to 40 degrees.
• Braking: The scooter is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes for efficient stopping. Gently squeeze the brake levers on the handlebars to slow down or stop.
• Lights: Activate the front LED headlight and rear stop light for improved visibility, especially during night rides.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your JOYOR S10S scooter.

• Battery Care:
  • Charge the battery fully after each use, especially if storing for extended periods.
  • Do not completely drain the battery.
  • Store the scooter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for a long time, charge the battery to about 50-70% every 1-2 months.
• Tire Pressure: Check the pressure of the 10-inch pneumatic tires regularly. Maintain the recommended PSI (refer to tire sidewall or specifications).
• Brake Inspection: Periodically check the hydraulic disc brakes for wear and tear. Ensure the brake levers operate smoothly and the brakes engage effectively. Adjust or replace brake pads as needed.
