1. Important Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the pressure washer. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Electrical Safety: Always connect the pressure washer to a properly grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords unless absolutely necessary and ensure they are rated for outdoor use and the appliance's power requirements. Never operate the unit with wet hands or while standing in water.
- High Pressure Hazard: The high-pressure jet can be dangerous if misused. Never direct the jet at people, pets, electrical devices, or the unit itself. Always wear appropriate eye protection and protective clothing.
- Water Supply: Ensure the water supply is clean and free of debris. Do not use hot water.
- Children and Bystanders: Keep children and bystanders away from the operating area.
- Maintenance: Disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
- Storage: Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free environment.

3. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to prepare your pressure washer for use.
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage.
- Assemble the Handle (if detachable): If your model has a detachable handle, secure it according to the markings.
- Connect the High-Pressure Hose: Attach one end of the high-pressure hose to the pressure outlet on the front of the unit. Ensure it is securely tightened. Connect the other end to the trigger gun.
- Attach the Lance and Nozzle: Connect the extension lance to the trigger gun. Then, attach the desired nozzle (e.g., adjustable jet nozzle) to the end of the lance.
- Connect Water Supply: Attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the water inlet on the pressure washer. Ensure the water inlet filter is clean and properly installed. Connect the other end of the garden hose to a water tap and turn on the water supply fully.
- Bleed Air from the System: Before connecting to power, squeeze the trigger gun to allow water to flow through the system and expel any trapped air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges from the nozzle.
- Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded 127V electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions
Once set up, follow these steps to operate your pressure washer safely and effectively.
- Start the Unit: Turn the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position. The motor will start.
- Engage the Trigger Gun: Point the nozzle at the cleaning surface, keeping a safe distance. Squeeze the trigger on the gun to start the high-pressure water flow.
- Total Stop System (TSS): The MPX13E is equipped with a Total Stop System. When the trigger is released, the pump automatically shuts off, saving energy and extending pump life. The motor will restart when the trigger is squeezed again.
- Adjusting the Nozzle: If using an adjustable nozzle, rotate the nozzle head to change the spray pattern from a concentrated jet to a wider fan spray.
- Using the Foam Lance Bottle: Fill the foam lance bottle with appropriate pressure washer detergent. Attach it to the trigger gun. The unit will then apply detergent at low pressure. To rinse, remove the foam lance bottle and use the standard nozzle.
- Stopping the Unit: When finished, release the trigger gun. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position. Turn off the water supply. Squeeze the trigger gun one last time to release any remaining pressure in the system.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.
- Clean the Water Inlet Filter: Periodically check and clean the water inlet filter to prevent debris from entering the pump. Remove the filter, rinse it under running water, and reinsert it.
- Nozzle Cleaning: If the nozzle becomes clogged, use a small pin or needle to clear any obstructions.
- Winter Storage (Frost Protection): If storing the unit in an area where temperatures may drop below freezing, it is crucial to drain all water from the pump and hoses. Run a non-toxic antifreeze solution through the pump for protection, or store in a heated environment.
- General Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
6. Troubleshooting
Refer to this section for common issues and their solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Motor does not start | No power supply; ON/OFF switch is OFF; Thermal overload activated. | Check power connection and outlet; Turn switch to ON; Allow unit to cool down for 30 minutes. |
| Low pressure | Insufficient water supply; Clogged water inlet filter; Air in pump; Clogged nozzle. | Ensure water tap is fully open; Clean water inlet filter; Bleed air from system (see Setup); Clean nozzle. |
| Water leaks from connections | Loose connections; Worn O-rings. | Tighten all connections; Replace worn O-rings. |
| Motor stops frequently (TSS) | Normal operation of Total Stop System. | This is normal. The motor will restart when the trigger is squeezed. |
