6. Setup and Installation
The Asixxsix Digital Dashboard is designed for a straightforward plug-and-play installation. No cutting or modification of wires is required, and no extra coding is needed. However, professional installation is highly recommended to ensure correct wiring and secure mounting, preventing potential damage to the vehicle or the unit.
General Installation Steps:
- Preparation: Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected before beginning installation.
- Remove Original Instrument Cluster: Carefully remove the existing instrument cluster from your vehicle according to your vehicle's service manual.
- Connect Wiring: Connect the provided plugs and optical fiber cable to the corresponding ports on the new digital dashboard and the vehicle's wiring harness. Refer to the rear view of the unit for port identification.
- Mount New Dashboard: Securely mount the Asixxsix Digital Dashboard into the vehicle's dashboard opening.
- Reconnect Battery: Reconnect the vehicle's battery.
