Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the urn for any damage.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the interior of the urn and the lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
  3. Placement: Place the urn on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances to ensure proper ventilation. Ensure the power cord is not dangling where it can be tripped over.
  4. Water Gauge Installation: Ensure the water gauge is properly secured. If the water gauge is not installed properly, leaks may occur. Tightening the water gauge can fix the water leakage issue.
  5. Filling: Open the lid and fill the urn with cold water. Do not fill above the 'MAX' line indicated on the water gauge. Ensure the water level is above the 'MIN' line before operation.
  6. Lid: Securely close the locking twist lid.

  4. Dispensing: Place a cup or container under the anti-drip tap. Push the tap lever down to dispense hot water. Release the lever to stop the flow.
  5. Refilling: If more hot water is needed, switch the urn off, carefully open the lid, and refill with cold water. Close the lid securely and switch the urn back on.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your catering urn.

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, ensure the urn is unplugged and completely cooled. Empty any remaining water. Wash the interior and lid with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the stainless steel finish.
  • Tap Cleaning: Periodically clean the tap by flushing it with clean water. If necessary, the tap can be disassembled for a more thorough cleaning (refer to the troubleshooting section or manufacturer's guidelines for specific instructions).
  • Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the urn, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the urn with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Heat the solution to boiling and let it stand for 30-60 minutes (do not boil continuously). Empty the solution, rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water, and wipe clean. Repeat if necessary.
  • Drip Tray: Remove and empty the drip tray regularly. Wash it with warm, soapy water and rinse.

Product Care Instructions: Hand wash.
