Operating Instructions

  1. Select Mode: Locate the control switch on top of the shredder.
    • AUTO: This is the normal operating mode. The shredder will automatically start when paper is inserted into the feed slot and stop when shredding is complete. The green Power LED will illuminate.
    • OFF: Turns the shredder off. Always set the switch to OFF when not in use or before emptying the wastebasket.
    • REV (Reverse): Moves the shredding blades in reverse. Use this function to clear paper jams.

    • If paper jams, immediately set the control switch to REV. This will reverse the shredding process and help clear the jam.
    • If the jam persists, switch to OFF, unplug the shredder, and carefully remove the jammed paper manually. Be extremely cautious of the sharp blades.
    • Once cleared, plug the shredder back in and set the switch to AUTO to resume operation.
  4. Overheat Protection: The shredder is equipped with an overheat protection feature. If the shredder operates continuously for too long or is overloaded, the red Overheat LED will illuminate, and the shredder will automatically shut off to prevent damage. Allow the shredder to cool down for approximately 30-45 minutes before resuming operation.

Maintenance

  1. Emptying the Wastebasket: Regularly empty the wastebasket to prevent paper jams and ensure optimal performance. Always unplug the shredder before removing the shredder head to empty the bin.
  2. Cleaning:
    • Unplug the shredder before cleaning.
    • Wipe the exterior of the shredder with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
    • Do not spray cleaning agents directly into the paper feed slot.
