Installation Steps (General)

  1. Prepare Motherboard: Install the appropriate backplate (Intel or AMD) behind your motherboard's CPU socket.
  2. Attach Mounting Screws: Secure the correct mounting screws through the motherboard and into the backplate.
  3. Apply Thermal Paste: Apply a small amount of thermal paste to the center of your CPU's integrated heat spreader (IHS).
  4. Mount Pump Head: Carefully place the pump head onto the CPU, aligning it with the mounting screws. Secure it with the provided nuts or thumb screws.
  5. Install Radiator: Mount the radiator and fans to an available fan mount location in your PC case (e.g., top, front, or rear). Ensure proper airflow direction.
  6. Connect Cables:
    • Connect the pump's power cable to a CPU_FAN or AIO_PUMP header on your motherboard.
    • Connect the fan PWM cables to available fan headers on your motherboard.
    • Connect the ARGB cables from the fans and pump head to a compatible 5V 3-pin ARGB header on your motherboard or an ARGB controller.
    • Connect the LCD display's USB cable to an available internal USB 2.0 header on your motherboard.
  7. Cable Management: Route cables neatly to ensure proper airflow and aesthetics.

Fan and Pump Control

The PWM fans and pump speed are typically controlled automatically by your motherboard based on CPU temperature. Advanced users can adjust fan curves and pump speeds through motherboard BIOS settings or compatible third-party software for fine-tuned performance and noise levels.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your liquid cooler.

  • Dust Removal: Periodically clean dust from the radiator fins and fan blades using compressed air. Ensure fans are not spinning during cleaning.
  • Check Tubing: Inspect the tubing for any signs of kinks, leaks, or damage.
  • Thermal Paste: Re-applying thermal paste is generally not required unless the cooler is removed from the CPU. If re-installation occurs, clean old paste and apply new.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SAMA SM360 Liquid Cooler, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
High CPU Temperatures
  • Insufficient thermal paste application.
  • Poor contact between pump and CPU.
  • Fans not spinning or spinning too slowly.
  • Radiator clogged with dust.
  • Pump not functioning.
  • Re-apply thermal paste.
  • Ensure pump is securely mounted.
  • Check fan connections and BIOS settings.
  • Clean radiator fins.
  • Verify pump power connection and listen for pump operation.
LCD Display Not Working
  • USB cable not connected or loose.
  • SAMA WaterCooling software not installed or running.
  • Software conflict.
  • Check internal USB 2.0 connection.
  • Install and launch the SAMA WaterCooling software.
  • Close other monitoring software that might conflict.
ARGB Lighting Not Working
  • ARGB cable not connected or connected to wrong header (e.g., 12V RGB instead of 5V ARGB).
  • Motherboard ARGB software not configured.
  • Ensure connection to a 5V 3-pin ARGB header.
  • Use your motherboard's RGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync) to control lighting.
