Operating Instructions

Fingerprint Registration

The Blusafe Breeze allows registration of up to 50 unique fingerprints, including 3 administrator fingerprints. Refer to the detailed instructions in the physical manual for the exact steps to register fingerprints. It is recommended to register each finger from multiple angles to improve recognition accuracy.

Unlocking the Door

  • Fingerprint Unlock: Place a registered finger on the biometric sensor. The lock will disengage, allowing you to turn the handle and open the door.
  • Key Unlock: In case of emergency or battery depletion, use one of the two provided mechanical backup keys to unlock the door. Insert the key into the keyhole and turn to unlock.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The Blusafe Breeze operates on 4 AAA batteries, providing approximately 6 months of use depending on frequency and battery quality. The lock will provide low battery warnings for about 200 uses before complete depletion. Replace batteries promptly when warnings appear.

Emergency Power

In the event of complete battery depletion, the lock can be temporarily powered via a micro-USB port for emergency access. Fingerprint data is retained even without power. Always keep the backup mechanical keys accessible for alternative entry.

Troubleshooting

  • Fingerprint Not Recognized:
    • Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Moisture or wrinkles can affect recognition.
    • Try placing your finger on the sensor from different angles. It is crucial to register your fingerprints from various positions during setup.
    • If recognition issues persist, re-register your fingerprint.
  • Lock Not Responding:
    • Check battery levels. If low battery warnings have been ignored, replace the AAA batteries.
    • If batteries are completely depleted, use the micro-USB port for emergency power or the mechanical backup key.
  • Handle Feels Loose:
    • Check all mounting screws and bolts for tightness. Tighten if necessary.
