The 820CB garage opener Safety Sensor is a direct replacement for ALL 1997-current operators equipped with the Safety Sensor option, identifiable by the AMBER LED light of the Security+ system.

5. Setup and Installation
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: Before installing the Safety Reverse Sensor, ensure the garage door opener is NOT connected to a power source. Disconnect power at the circuit breaker or unplug the unit to prevent electrical shock or accidental door operation.
5.1 Mounting the Sensors
The safety reversing sensors must be mounted on the door track, approximately 6 inches (15 cm) above the floor. Ensure they are securely fastened and aligned to function correctly.

- Each sensor has two wires. Separate the ends of these wires.

6. Operating Principles
The 820CB safety sensors function by projecting an invisible infrared beam across the garage door opening. This beam acts as a safety barrier. When the garage door is in the process of closing, if any object or person breaks this infrared beam, the sensors immediately send a signal to the garage door opener. This signal instructs the opener to stop the downward movement and reverse the door to its fully open position, thereby preventing potential injury or damage.

7. Maintenance
