4. Setup and Connection

4.1 Power On/Off

Locate the power switch on the side or back of the keypad. Slide it to the 'ON' position to power on the device. The indicator light will illuminate. Slide to 'OFF' when not in use to conserve battery.

4.2 2.4G Wireless Connection

1. Ensure the keypad is powered on.
2. Insert the 2.4G USB-A wireless receiver into an available USB-A port on your computer or device. If your device only has Type-C ports, use the provided USB-A to Type-C adapter.
3. Press Shift + 2.4G on the keypad to switch to 2.4G mode. The 2.4G indicator light will turn on.
4. Your device should automatically recognize the keypad.

4.3 Bluetooth Connection

1. Ensure the keypad is powered on.
2. Press Shift + BT on the keypad to switch to Bluetooth mode. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
3. On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
4. Select "Ewin Tenkey" or a similar name from the list of available devices to pair.
5. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keypad will stop flashing and remain solid.

4.4 Switching Between Connected Devices

If you have connected to two devices (one via 2.4G and one via Bluetooth), you can switch between them by pressing Shift + 2.4G or Shift + BT.

4.5 System Language Setting (for Windows)

If some symbols (e.g., parentheses, equals sign) are not inputting correctly, your system might be recognizing the keypad as an English layout. Follow these steps to change the keyboard layout to Japanese:

1. Go to Settings → Time & Language → Language & Region.
2. Click the ... (three dots) next to "Japanese" and select Language options.
3. Under "Keyboards", click Change layout.
4. Select "Japanese Keyboard (106/109 Key)" or "Use connected keyboard layout" from the hardware keyboard layout change options.
5. Restart your PC for the settings to take effect.

For iOS devices, if you experience similar issues, remove all keyboard connection records from your iPad/iPhone Bluetooth settings, restart the device, and then re-pair the keypad.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your keypad, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the keypad. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution, then wipe dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Storage: Store the keypad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handling: Avoid dropping the keypad or exposing it to excessive force, which could damage internal components.

Q1: Key input is not responding.

A:

1. Ensure the keypad's power switch is in the 'ON' (green) position. If the LED lamp does not respond after turning on the power, try charging the keypad first.
2. Verify that you have switched to the correct connection mode (2.4G or BT) for your desired device by pressing Shift + 2.4G or Shift + BT.
3. If using 2.4G wireless, try re-inserting the 2.4GHz wireless receiver into the USB port, or try a different USB port.
4. If using Bluetooth, delete the keypad's pairing record from your device's Bluetooth settings and re-pair it.

Q2: Calculator key / NumLock key is not responding / NumLock lamp is not lighting.

A: The calculator key and NumLock function are only supported on Windows devices. On macOS and iOS devices, the numeric keypad area will function as numeric and arithmetic input regardless of the NumLock key state, and the NumLock lamp will not illuminate.

Q3: Some symbols (e.g., parentheses '(', ')', equals sign '=') are not inputting correctly.

A: This usually indicates that your device is recognizing the keypad as an English layout. Please refer to Section 4.5 System Language Setting for instructions on how to change the keyboard layout to Japanese on Windows or re-pair on iOS.

Note: This product is a Japanese layout keyboard. If you use it in combination with an English layout keyboard, you may experience input discrepancies even after adjusting settings. It is recommended to use it with other Japanese layout keyboards.
